  • Use different Layouts for the levels.

Then use "Go To Layout" action in the event sheet.

    Good luck!

  • Kyatric, yeah that is how signatures should work.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but, I still see my old posts without signature card. Different browsers, updated (F5) and still no signature.

    Strange...

  • anthonykojima, it will work if you follow the notes from Kyatric.

I also had some problems at first. But figured out you have to make a new post for the signature card to appear. It will not show in old posts.

  • ASHLEY. Tested this in R81. It is now working like expected. Good job!

  • Hello from Sweden.

I come from a 2D/3D graphics background and now stepping into creating my own games. Really having fun creating small worlds that come alive in the form of a game. Also a good way for me to combine it with music I make.

Have been playing around with Contruct Classic on and off in the past. I have now for the first time tested Construct 2. Just finished my first project and already looking forward to starting up the next.

Looking forward to seeing the future development of C2 and sharing my own creations.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I have noticed that when exporting for Scirra Arcade the zip file generated also includes all other files and sub-folders in the selected output folder.

    Empty sub-folders are not included.

This can generate a large Zip and will most likely make the ZIP invalid for Arcade upload.

    Tested in construct r80.2 64-bit, windows 7.

  • Great to see so many games submitted! Good luck! <img src="smileys/smiley41.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Just for reference I will say that this seemes to work like it should for me. 64 bit machine with chrome version 17.0.963.65 m.

  • I can't upload either.

"Zip contains file extensions not on the whitelist"

I double checked families, and the whitelist, but nothing... I suppose I should email the game, because Tom must be asleep now...

Make sure you export your game into an empty folder.

I got the same problem once. Something strange happens when exporting Arcade Zip into a folder with other content. It seemes to include other files/folders that are in the same folder as export!

  • Thanks for the comments guys.

I have updated the game in the Arcade now to v1.2.

Adjusted damage model. Previous there could be to much damage if the player "slided" on platforms. Now the damage occurs in short bursts in that case. The damage is now also clamped with a fixed max value.

Tuned power consumption. Faster reload and a bit faster drain.

Removed the arrows on the gates (that 0plus1 pointed out), instead placed some arrow markers in the scene.

Also added some extra eye candy and some other minor fixes.

Hope this will contribute to a more balanced game and a smoother experience.

  • Thanks for the feedback Kraion. Nice to hear you liked it.

It's hard to balance a short game like this so it's in that sweet spot for most players. In this case I just wanted to avoid the player bouncing all the way to the finish without much reguard for the platforms. The walls should feel dangerous...

I have also noted on a few testers that the playstyle change rather quickly from reckless to careful. Wich is what I was going for.

  • Grav Suit is now online in the Arcade!

Play it here >> Grav Suit in the Arcade.

It's not easy to be a maintenance worker in deep space. Especially when you get trapped in a maze of mysterious debris. What kind if place is this? There is no gravity and danger is everywhere.

All you got is your life and your Grav Suit.

Will you make it out alive?

Give it a try and let me know what you think. This is also a contenter in the rotary competition so if you like the game, give it a vote!

  • I got the same error.

First time I have used the Arcade upload, so not sure what to do.

Will wait and see if admins fix it.

  • Hi!

This is my first post here, and my first project with Construct 2.

I have been playing around with CC a little bit before, but nothing to big.

Spending a few days now on a game called Grav Suit, that I hope I will be able to submit to this comp in the arcade.

Just finished the most important graphics and music. Still working on different levels.

Without going into much gameplay details I can say this: It is placed in space, got rotating levels, a gravity suit with a tractor beam and an astronaut trying to find his way out with his life intact...
