Thank you!! That pasted crop disappearing thing actually cost me quite a bit of work...
Solid filtering
Fading audio
Offset tiled backgrounds
BBcode formatting for spritefonts
This entire post is getting me so hot omg
I like the symbolism of Strawberry Man as the constant struggle of man to fend of the evil grape demons within ourselves, throughout the house, the outdoors, and even space: the final frontier
Truly deep commentary on the current nature of the world and the dangers around us. 10/10
This may have already been patched out, but if you walk forward while spamming "X", Green does a sort of moonwalk thing and it looks kinda funny lol
I had a similar problem in my game; just change the animation trigger to "play from current frame" instead of "play from beginning" and it should look a lot more natural
Aside from that minor little tidbit, though, this is great! :) I'm a sucker for anything Mega Man inspired—and I was sure it was there as soon as I suicided to see the the death animation haha
I'm guessing you've played Badland lol
Nice game :)

The catch of the second level is that stepping on gray tiles kills you, right? Although I think the ambiguity of the puzzles adds some thought provoking to this, I feel like most people will never get that and just rage-quit early on lol
So maybe easing into more ambiguous stuff is the way to go with something like this
Also how the heck do you beat level 5 LOL
I swear I've tried every thing; it's killing me D:
dank spins /b/ro
Cool idea!! But in most of the levels you're able to move up and down freely using the up and down arrow keys; I'm assuming that's not intentional lol
Also (as with any game), a save feature is always appreciated
These are just minor nitpicks, though; I still think it's really cool :)
Would definitely look into resetting enemy positions in the rooms each time you die
Right now whether or not you can beat certain rooms is completely dependent on when you die and if the enemies start off in favorable positions or not
Right now I'm on room 20 and sometimes the bats just start in super terrible spots and I can't do anything about it other than just take the death and hope they start off in better spots when I respawn into the room... More consistency in that regard could help out the overall design tremendously
Other than that, though, I think it's pretty fun :)
Rofl why do I have to explode when I die; this game is so VIOLENT
The art direction could definitely use a bit of work, and it would be nice if the abilities had descriptions when you mouse over them or something
But the actual functionality of the game works well and has a surprising amount of depth to it
Great job overall :)
Great update! Definitely added a bit more flavor to what was pretty plain before :)
The upgrades help with adding another layer of depth, and the little job title leveling from "unemployed" to "manager" is cute, too haha
Always has been and always will be the undisputed best game on the Arcade, rivaled only by the Corey in the House anime
10/10
