  • Hurrmmm.

Totally broken. Was this working properly in r66? I never actually tested it until now.

  • Same exact thing happened to me... Chrome turned off my hardware acceleration out of nowhere! Thanks for the fix, Noga - I was freaking out.

  • Very nice. I like use of the mechanic from vvvvvv. Might also be fun to have a co-op version where each character is controlled by a player.

Yep. Especially since it's kind of a 'couples' game. Obviously the co-op levels would have to be designed differently, as the independent movement would basically negate any challenge for the current levels.

But yes, co-op would be awesome.

  • I have an Intuos3 and it's about the best thing since paper, even though it's getting a bit old now. Expensive, yes, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

I've had 1 or 2 cheap tablets in my life, and they worked fine, but I wouldn't go back now.

I'm actually saving up for a Cintiq. Did someone say expensive?

...but this isn't a thread about tablets, it's about how awesome pyteo's game is. And in relation to that, is it likely there'll be an update in the near future with refined controls... especially xbox360 controller support? I'd play the sh*t out of it if you did that.

  • Yeh, I tend to spawn physics sprites for my particles... I'm sure it's not the best technique performance-wise, but their behaviour is much more pleasing.

  • I'm also wondering if anybody would be interested in a MagiCam plugin for Construct2. That would likely be a little farther out in the future - I'd have to learn JavaScript - but I'm looking to gauge interest in the mean time.

    Yay!

  • Yeah, a nice lag and custom scroll speed would be useful.

  • Yeah... custom kerning would be awesome!

  • I know you've already found a solution, but I would suggest using the 'pin' behaviour instead of changing animation frames... that way you could make multiple layers of 'clothing' in basically unlimited combination.

Actually... now that makes me want to experiment with this idea for a customizable appearance for the player sprite in any game.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I'd imagine Construct would be perfect for Monkey Island type games.

  • ...the main reason that games with impressive graphics such as this one look so good is that because generally, the person who made the artwork has some genuine artistic talent... software doesn't do it for you ;)

    This.

The best software is the kind that you're not fighting against to get it to do what you want... that's about it.

Also, unless you're a crazy person, use a tablet.

  • Nice. Will come in handy.
