  • I have been under the impression that localhost/preview.html is a local. When my ISP went down last night for the next 12h, I realized that I was unable to do the HTML5 preview. Accessing that page only result in a down connection message. The ISP modem has no connection, but the internal network was still functioning for everything else. Still, this is local only, right? Am I wrong? Should it still have been working?

    Thank you.

  • Just thought of another question. Tried looking but I think it is more of a logical question than any. If the default playing size is within the dotted area, why the rest of the area? Why not just have that dotted area as the only white field we see to start with? From there, change size if needed (might be nice to have a drag bar to eventually do it).

So that, and what do the four corner lines mean that I see in the layout? Boundaries where the layer end?

    Thanks again for these.

  • Thanks. Sorry if it was too silly to have been asked. I probably should have known better, but never realized.

  • Refresh me please. What are the dotted lines, forming a corner box in the top left of the layout, when you start a new project?

    Thank you.

  • All, thank you for your input. Ashley, thank you for the comparison between the single file and the folder. Good to know because if I want family to test the game for me locally, I have a good idea how to two formats of the game work.

  • There we go. That is what I was missing. I kept focusing on the left of the screen looking at layout 1. I did not click the layout tab on the right and clicked the layout itself first. Thanks.

  • This may be silly to ask. If so, bonk me. I wanted to start duplicating my space shooter on C2 from CC, so I can focus on C2 since it is the one being updated and worked on. I started to add the object background of a black area. I realized, and read about, how C2 does not have an editor. So, i created a BMP of a black area. I inserted that image as the object.

What I started to think was, is this the way to go? Is this the easiest method? Comparing this to CC's ability to use the built in editor.

    Silly me wants to clarify.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks, but I was just kidding. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Was just being in the moment.

  • Where do we submit suggestions for C2?

  • Ah, okay. Thank you.

  • Hey, all. Just wanted some thoughts. C2 offers to tasty ways to save projects: single or folders. Wanted to know when you think a project is too large to be a single file. Most games will have sound, music, etc. Couple of MEGS or even tens of MEGS?

    Just picking some minds.

    Thanks.
