  • spoke too soon, I now have everything set up correctly, and used events:

    on start of layout > is configured > create interstitial.

    Works fine, but now 'interstitial failed' gets triggered. 'On interstitial ready' is not getting triggered. Any ideas what could be missing??

  • thanks, I dont think there is an error with the plugin, just trying to find out what I have missed. The only thing I have not heard of is the custom provider list, is there any more info on this??

  • I have seen people say not to configure on start of layout, and to avoid 'on configuration complete', and also that GDPR regulations may be effecting it but has anyone managed to get adverts working over the last few weeks? If so, could they post a screenshot of the events used please.

    I have everything set up correctly (adverts used to work), but have tried 10 different combinations of events and 'configuration failed' is always fired. My last attempt is to change runtime to c3, but had to remove addons, bah! Will see what happens.....

    Please help!!

  • I have a game in development, adverts were working last time i checked (although this was about a month ago), I had a test of it yesterday and the adverts aren't working anymore.

    Havent re-exported the apk so could it be a google problem?

  • I have a game on Google Play that uses the players google ID to retrieve their saved level from a database. So far, 'Set text to GooglePlay.MyID' displays the correct ID but when I try to put this value into a variable (googlePlayIDVariable = GooglePlay.MyID), and 'Set text to googlePlayIDVariable' It displays 'NaN'. This ultimately means I cannot send the ID to the database and retrieve the correct data.

    I have tried using the Ajax calls 'Send "username=" & GooglePlay.MyID to URL....' &

    'Send "username=" & googlePlayIDVariable to URL....'

    Both don't seem to work, however...

    'Send "username=123456789" to URL....' does work.

    Hopefully this is enough info for someone to point out the obvious!

    But I do everything with Construct plugins, there isn't anything for firebase is there?

    I thought that seeing as there is a Google Play plugin, functionality could be added to that.

    BTW, a temporary solution:

    on GooglePlay signed in > get level from database from user = GooglePlay.MyID

    on next level (function or whatever) > save level(variable) to database using GooglePlay.MyID

    But this would require server side knowledge and is...just... boring!

    To me this seems like the last hurdle in making mobile games with construct. 'Infinite' games are ok because the player always starts from the beginning and can use google leaderboards. But if the game has levels, as soon as you move to a new device (most people have a phone and tablet these days) you lose progression. Is this on the devs radar? Ashley
