    I just realised ROJOhound said dont use numbers. This must apply to the 'object type' name as well? I changed it from '3d object' to 'crate' and it works now!

  • Rename 3dobject so that it's name doesn't start with a number. Python doesn't work with names that start with numbers.

    The cap still wont run wont run?

    1, I opened the cap, created a 3d object (called 'crates.obj')

    2, Gave it a texture.

    3, Ran the cap

    4, Crashed, with the following errors:

  • Are the DirectX files(AUG 2008) required to run a Construct game on Windows XP, exactly the the same as the files needed on Vista, and windows 7. Regardless of what version of windows(64 and 32 bit) is installed ?

    So far the level is only 2000x2000 pixels, but I hope it will be atleast 5000x2000 later. It's super hard, and that's how I like it. I love challenging games. But belive me, it will be much harder. Almost impossible.

  • Hello again.

    I am trying to make a game where you attack planets as a ship, and single handily conquer them, one by one. My problem is that the texture that is placed on the model is sometimes streched in certain positions, polygons poke through the sprites sometimes, and you can see through the object as if the front (where you can see) was transparent.

    These are serious problems I cannot easily find solutions for. If anyone could help me, that would be great!

    There is a couple of problems with your cap:

    1, You havent generated a UVMAP for your sphere(or maybe not included it)

    2, Your model has over 5000 facets(1.25meg)...way too many FOR A SIMPLE OBJECT

    3, You need to rescale the model to X,Y,Z=2.00 (the current scale is 83.2 )

  • I am not currently using the latest version of C2 because i have been trying to finish a few Classic projects, and havent got a paypal account yet (I will definately be purchasing one though)

    I have noticed a few posts appearing on the forums with contents like:

    'GM HTML5 is so powerfull'

    'Construct 2 has ways to go before it can catch up to Game Maker'

    Really stupid question, but have i missed something ?

    The GM games i have looked in this thread could easily be made with C2(with my limited knowledge) so i dont understand why the Comparisons are relevant?

  • Hi all, I don't understand how to have my objects that are global into all layouts.

    When I create a new layout, all my folders are duplicated in, but they are all empty. Then I try to take my objects from the Project window (on the right) to drag them in the new layout, it doesn't work.

    So I copy all of them from the first layout, paste them in the new, then move them around cause they are still in position...

    Is there amore efficient way I overlooked?

    What about right click on 'layout' in the projects tab, then choose 'clone layout' (creating layout 2 with same objects.)

    Sorry if i,m talking about something different?
