Get ready to dive into a sea of endless excitement with "Dolphin Jump," the thrilling new game that puts you in control
  • Interesting to see....

    Demos here

Most work ok on FF 6.

  • I love it.And the performance of those games are fantastic.It runs at a constant 60fps on my google chrome browser. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Heh, interesting. I'm a bit surprised just how much javascript is generated for some of those games, if you view the source. Some of the games have over half a megabyte of javascript code! C2 games tend to have about 100kb of script.

  • After updating Firefox html5 runs great.

But the sound-if any has been added- is very poor.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I think C2 needs a couple more genre specific examples to complement the 2 available, specifically, a platformer of sorts and some other genre, maybe RPG. That would help newcomers get a better perspective of what's possible.

Unfortunately, since I'm not currently using C2 I have no idea if it's even possible, but am happy to be proved wrong :)

Well, I guess they'll have to keep consistency between products. I've always thought GameMaker was bloated.

  • Five of the six game are IPhone games published by YoYo Games.

    Some GM HTML5 information.

It seems that GM HTML5 is so powerful now but I think that Construct 2 will win this battle!

  • Yeah. As a Game Maker user, i see the community becoming less optimistic by the current management, and coming over to Construct.

But Construct 2 has ways to go before it can catch up to Game Maker. Hopefully they can bring in more help in the future, to speed up development. 8)

  • I am not currently using the latest version of C2 because i have been trying to finish a few Classic projects, and havent got a paypal account yet (I will definately be purchasing one though)

I have noticed a few posts appearing on the forums with contents like:

    'GM HTML5 is so powerfull'

'Construct 2 has ways to go before it can catch up to Game Maker'

Really stupid question, but have i missed something ?

The GM games i have looked in this thread could easily be made with C2(with my limited knowledge) so i dont understand why the Comparisons are relevant?

(This is not a personal attack on anyones comments)

    Hi,

It is because I am not fully realize the capability of Construct 2.

If Construct 2 users release many very good HTML5 games, many people will think that Construct 2 is as powerful as GameMaker.
