  • That would be completely unmanageable and insecure.

    Why?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I especially put this in General Tools/resources section as a separate level editor.

I understand, but I've always considered the tools/resources sub-forum to be for tools/resources to specifically help people make Construct games, what with it being a Construct forum and all.

  • Okay, sounds cool. But what can it do for Construct Classic or Construct 2?

  • This game is very impressive. I think the sounds needs more oomph, but this game overall is very well done. Good job!

  • Thinking about the Ouya, it makes me wonder: wouldn't it be cool if there was a game system like that but it read and played the project files of all the popular indie game dev platforms? So that way, you wouldn't have to learn a new system/language in order to translate your game to that console platform. You just buy a yearly membership like XBLIG has, and as long as that's current you can create and put your games up for sale.

Man, a system like that would be a beast for indie games. The system would have like 5,000 games at launch day! :-)

  • ive put together this short trailer:

the game is still very much a work in progress

if you are interested in keeping up news will be posted to this blog:

Holy cow! That looks awesome! And you're making this with Construct Classic?

  • Finally got a chance to play this. It's pretty awesome! I've always liked games like these; I remember playing Gauntlet and Smash TV like crazy way back in the good 'ol days of gaming, so this one takes me back!

  • MrMiller, do you mean the next Xbox could be $100 MORE, or just $100? Somehow I find the latter a tad difficult to believe. <img src="smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Well, the believability issue is of course up to Microsoft and the reporters who've reported the information so far. But honestly, it doesn't seem that unbelievable to me because, as Kyatric points out:

It's probable the next XBOX will be a low fee + a submission, putting the total price to much more than the one of the WiiU.

And that's what I've heard; it's supposed to be $99 with a subscription model. I've heard that MS has already been trying this model out with a $99 XBOX 360 that's only $99 if the buyer accepts a $15/month XBOX Live subscription.

  • I can't see spending $300 on this (and only 8gb's?) when I'm hearing the next XBOX could be $100 and much more powerful.

I'll wait until all the new consoles are released before I make a decision on the next generation.

  • Awesome, Chris! Thanks a million!

  • Do you mean construct classic r1.2 ? If so, yes..

Nah, I meant CC r2.0 (that version is out now). But, I'm still using 1.2 myself. I can't say I've ever had a lag problem, but I never use the d-pad.

  • Thanks for the caps jay jay, but I was using the digital pad.. As mentioned, I think a simple cap and fraps may shed some light

Just curious: is this happening with Construct Classic 2.0?
