  • While the first one doesn't work, having a value of 0807.

    The second one with "sLanguage" does have DES for me, which is Deutsch Swiss (German Swiss). So it seems like this is the right registry to choose from.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Yep, it's not working. I have a MUI that changed Windows from English to German. I have value not listed.

    But I found something else:

    Can someone check "/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/MuiCached/MachinePreferredUILanguages"?

    I got de-DE so it's right. I just need to know if everyone else has this Registry key also and if it's the right language.

  • Well, I'm going to bump a little. No help here?

  • Ah, if that's so, then I was living under a rock at this time.

  • I'm not sure there will be any flash runtime support, I think they have to buy a license to be able to use a flash runtime.

  • Now for me, it looks like a mix of Scratch and GameSalad (iPhone drag-n-drop programming).

    Well, maybe I'm wrong.

  • I want to ask, will there be any fix for the Auto-Save feature? It's always auto-saving everytime I do something. There is even a bug report from 2008, meaning it was most likely ignored. I think it's a really inportant feature, especially for "unstable" builds. Because mostly, Construct crashes while you're not looking out and forgot to save.

  • I wanted to save the settings as an .ini file. The first thing I try, is to put languages in my game (English and German). Now, I can't find anything related for condition like: If value 1 of item "Language" in group "Settings", then "change something". Did I miss something here? And last question, is it possible for Construct to find out what Language the user's windows has, so the game automatically sets the game to the right language on first start.

  • Well, It would be nice to know, how you fixed the problem. So later we know to help when someone gets the same problem, don't you think?

  • Don't forget, the check boxes in MMF2 were customizable. You could change this into a smiley. Whee!

  • But can you save it as a .swf so you can use it in your own web project?

    Or better yet .fla?

    Woah, woah, really? I never saw this anywhere. Did I miss something?

    And about the Stencyl/Scratch similarity. It's a nice idea to evolve this nice program with more features to use as a game creator. What I see is, that it's working also on Mac OS X making this something better than Construct. But I'm still sceptic if the puzzle interface will work for making nice looking games.

  • A screen shot of a gui would have gone much farther than a few demo's.

    They have made some sort of cropped picture:

    <img src="http://www.stencyl.com/static/sw/sw1.png">

    Oh wait, this looks a lot like Scratch

    <img src="http://origin.arstechnica.com/journals/microsoft.media/scratch1.png">

    Not to bash the program, but it looks just too similar beetwen these two screens.

    And after playing the games, it just feels like it doesn't really make more things than Construct, but we just have to wait till the final product.

    The thing I do like is that you can make Browser games like flash with that.
