  • This question seems to come up a lot. I guess the point/linear sampling setting is important to a lot of people but it's hidden half way down application properties. How about a prompt like this when clicking File -> New?:

    What graphics style would you like to use for this game? You can change this any time in Application Properties under 'Sampling'.

    ( ) Retro style (point sampling) - hard edges on graphics to retain pixellated look

    ( ) Modern style (linear sampling) - smooth edges for higher quality display, but can make pixel art appear blurry

    ([ ] Don't ask me again)

    Would that be useful?

  • You guys are right, setting the collision to per pixel does work. Still hoping it gets fixed, at least to be consistent. Thanks for the help!

    It's on the tracker and David is looking into it, so cross fingers toes and other appendages.

    Might have issues with newer versions, it's pretty old as far as I'm aware.

  • You need to change the sampling under the application properties from linear to point. Then the rendering will be suitable for pixelart.

    Yeah whatever happened to all those thousands of sport fans wanting to make a game according to that alleged EA playtester (but hey, wouldn't be the first time someone from EA was wrong!)

    I wasn't the one getting upset over achievements being mentioned, lol.

  • Everyone seems to like achievements, but once you get your achievement you are done. High scores can go on indefinitely. Faster time, more kills, people saved, complex scores like skill minus damage.

    But hey this is not an achievement vs High Score debate like every one seems to be posting. This topic is High Score only. Besides you can have high scores and achievements in a game. Right So why are you pushing achievements?
