  • Thanks guy's, both of you, however I wonder what the / actually is supposed to do? either way thanks for helping me out.

  • I have picked up on my game again and I want to know how to make the player have his health bar on top of his head similar to many rts games out there and also for the enemies which take some hits have their own health bar.

Any idea how to make it so that the bar floats on the player and enemies/whatever else with health?

and also change size depending on player/enemy health which I have no clue on how to do.

    Thanks in advance.

  • It looks like Smash bros brawl's story mode, play as Link/Marth or any character with a sword and you'l get the same experience, I've just watched this video here.

It didn't impress me at all, maybe because I've seen better 3D sidescroller out there like the Bionic Commando remake which is much more fun then this imo.

    Not to mention

  • Woah, this looks fun

  • I think the reason there are no extra subdivisions in the forums is because ashley wants to keep the forum neat and uncluttered. there used to be a python section, but it was barely used, and so it was removed. there's no need for a new creations section, because as someone said earlier there's not a huge influx of completed games.

and an OMG WTF section.. this is the scirra msgboard. not 4chan. it seems clear that scirra is meant to be a casual/professional board. there are no overtly prohibitive rules. I for one don't want scirra to get cluttered with porn, racist humor, and shock videos. The community maintains its tone of friendly creative learning because of its basic common sense rules.

Why must any section be changed? it went from new creations to OMG WTF, do we need to find something to change? it's fine the way it is.

Agreed, look at the Newgrounds forums, mainly it's general board, too many immature members and spam, don't want that Scirra forums turn out like that either and a forum section called "OMG WTF" sounds retarded to me and attracts idiocy.

  • Prorotypes are generally engines used for next projects to take from that engine, W.I.P are projects that are still being worked on and actually have content.

  • Wouldn't that go for help topics? like beginner questions, intermediate and advanced help topics? but for creation I would put it like this.

    W.I.P. Creations

    Demo Creations

    Prototype Creations

    Abandoned Creations and Finished Creations

I find that a better idea.

  • I agree and I think I know the 3D engine you're talking about and it annoys me that he got such idiotic critic, he should be applauded for what he did imo but business is a war, each tend to criticise other and they trick others into buying more of their products by selling half-finished products (like a graphic card) and then they add more to it (but not necessarily finish it and possibly put bugs on purpose) and call it a new name, this isn't the best example of business war games but you should get the idea, it's full of tricks and logic really and as you said it's the money that they care about so they sell the costumers half-working crap.

Business is all a monopoly game.

  • Got another video of Agilis here with much improved graphics - this vid shows the style and mood I'm going for in the game. Let me know what you think! (Still looks like crap but imagine if a decent artist made the graphics

    Sweet game

  • Done.

  • I wonder why people care more about the program you use to create the game rather then the game itself, It is not fair that a reviewer say's your game is crap just because you used a WYSIWYG program to create your game, no matter how much effort and high quality the game is, I saw many high quality games with Construct and I could care less that they were done with Construct, the gamer should care about the game not the program used to create it, same goes for Game Maker and the such, GM also has it's great share of games that are worth playing.

  • Python IS programming but events are not, to me programming means when you have to write a block of codes, scripting could be programming to a certain extent but writing X+25 for events and such is just small tiny bit of coding, nothing compared to real programming that I am yet unable to grasp.
