  • Hey!

    I would love for the devs to put a bit more attention towards the Frame editor, specifically:

    * Easier editing of frames (multi-selection, drag and drop, copy / paste, preview, mass-editing of common attributes in multi-selection, copy / paste entire animation collections)

    * Propagate Origin and / or Image Points to all frames. If I add an Image Point to a sprite, make it an option to have it visible on the entire object instead per frame!

    * Add a simple pixel-pen tool for quick prototyping, it would be very beneficial! It doesn't have to be fancy -- I will use an external software for the fancy stuff!

  • O'hoy fellow Scir'vees!

    I have this top down game in which I want the player to be able to jump. Since there is no jump or height function in the 8 directions behvaiour I needed to hack something together myself and thus my following conundrum..

    I created an invisible sine object do to a nice sine curve for me when you press the jump key, however, there's not way to reset the oscillation, the curve always starts where it was inactivated, making it quite a hassle to get it to work right. So I decided to just do a nice sine expression myself... I'm incredibly inexperienced when it comes to this type of math though so...

    How do I make an expression that has an initial force that de-accelerate to 1 and then accelerate to 0? (faking gravity after a jump etc)

  • Everytime I move two objects, identically lined up to each other, with the same speed they start to tear apart. As seen here (not originally my bg, just modified the speed of the BG from 1!):

    How come there is space between the backgrounds?

    Is there a way to get a perfect scrolling background?

  • Heh yeah sorry. I'm a bit loopy after beating at it all day.

    So, when you "unsheathe", I want the arrow to always point to the mouse pointer. As if the character is strafing around the mouse pointer. It works great when the screen scrolling is not there.

    Thanks for the GUI tip, been trying to figure out how to do that :)

  • I want to control a character with WASD and when you press the sword, you aim and slash with your mouse. Everything worked until I added a scrolling function and my sword aiming just went bonkers.

    So, basically when you press the sword the arrow should always point to the mouse cursor. Because of the scrolling, it doesn't behave like that and I can't figure out why that is.

    Anyone have a clue to what's going on here?

  • The manual say:

    "By default event blocks are the normal 'And' type. They can be toggled to and from 'Or' blocks by right-clicking the event margin and selecting Make 'Or' block, or pressing the Y keyboard shortcut."

    I don't have either "Make 'Or'" and nothing happens when I press "Y".

    I also don't have any "else" system function?

    Is it a limitation of the free version?

  • I actually solved it by 1) using a boolean like Nimtrix but also 2) just toggle a group. An Else system would be nice. Where is this?

  • I tried changing the collision polygon. I can safely say it has nothing to do with my issue.

    *Edit* Actually -- If I set it to the bounding box, I can't interact with the button at all. Very strange this.

  • I'm trying to create a HUD that you click with the mouse to toggle the player state. Problem is, every time I click on the button, the area which is intractable(I.e click-able) changes.. It will also erratically change depending on how I set-up the behaviours.

    Any ideas?
