    Machinarium is written on Flash I think, I don't think getting HTML5 with .exe wrapper will prove impossible to get on Steam. Though will definitely require additional engine programming to make it steam platform compatible.

    I've seem to run into problem, was wondering if you could help.

    ok I want to make AutoRun with construct, So I click Sprite and it Executes some file in subdirectory of Construct Made .exe file.

    So example

    C:\Autorun.exe

    C:\Bla\bla.exe

    and C can be B or D or whatever letter

    I'm using file object execute file command but, it works with full Path

    's

    Doesn't with "\bla\bla.exe" or "..\bla\bla.exe" is there anyway to make it work like this?

    so what I want to achieve. Scan like effect (Sprite) moves horizontally,

    and in its path parts of sprite in the background are made visible.

    Kind of Animated Mask effect that reveals the full image.

    I have kind of solution with sprite same color as background moving in, but would like something like, Magic Sprite that hides part of other sprite when overlapping.

    any help would be welcome

  • Attan, you don't understand. It doesn't depend on cap, it depends on compatibility with other computers. Here I tried to add gradient and it's okay but when I add sprite...well I posted the bug on tracker and here many times, other people posted their caps with the same prob but those caps worked ok for people who's cpu's support latest builds. I also tried some new exe's people posted here on last 3 weeks and also got errors though games like Aquaria, Tagap, Flash Bang Studios games(Paper Moon) or other games that use modern technologies work fine on any computer, even mine. Guys(I mean devs), please solve this problem because if people who's cpu's support latest builds will release games(I mean commercial projects) that most machines will not support , uh...

    In case of smth I'll leave my cpu's specifications:

    AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1,93 Ghz, GeForce 6600 128 MB, 1GB RAM, Windows XP SP3.

    xp SP 3 thats what is causing it, I too have that problem and I have been watching other peoples posts with this bug.

    microsoft must have released some update that screws some DX feature, this is not the first time thing like this happened.

  • Well first thing I want to know is there really any reason to recreate platform behavior? the way I see it, its excellent starting point, you can always expand upon it with new custom controls.

    Second is what are possible ways to accomplish this? I tried doing it with just events and it nearly drew me insane.

    I was stuck right at the gravity, no matter what I did there was random chance player would move couple of pixels into ground Is it even possible to do it with just events?

    I know some ppl were doing this with Physics behavior, But I have not used it much.

    What are the Dis/advantages of physics based platform behavior?

  • that plugin hates me, and feeling is mutual

    crashes are less in new versions, but have it happened to me couple of times on older versions
