After lunch I found out that windows had logged me out, so I logged in... crash! I had Construct open after a bit of work.

Oh, I've been bashing my head in with my grid_defense project and then Rich got inspired by it. He went and made this within an insanely short amount of time - at least compared to the time I wasted on mine!

I'll post my project when its basic features are ironed out, the instance picking problems are causing me grey hair.

If anyone has been wondering how the Pairer Object works... well, here it is. In this case turrets are paired with the base and then picked whenever called to be properly repositioned each tick.

MouseKeyboard should always be made global for that very reason. Maybe you still have some duplicates of the object? There should be one MouseKeyboard object only, the global one.

Make sure the event actually passes, i.e. it actually checks for control 'Start'. Make an event that displays the big text "TEST" in middle of screen when you click Start. That way you'll know it is working properly.

If not, double-check check the triggering event itself.

It seems to happen with any cap (at least with textures), the crash doesn't occur every time, but if you switch to other window other than Construct (say Firefox), switch user in Windows, then switch back and open Construct window; there is bound to be an anomaly (such as editor tabs - Layout/Event sheet - or scrolling bars disappear. But that is the editor stuff.

I'll post it on tracker with a cap where this is consistent.

The crash also occurs after you relog into Windows XP after a period of inactivity.

The Physics behaviour has 'elipse' collision mask, shadow casting is pretty much collision check (you keep casting rays and paint those that collide with the shadowcaster object).

I'm sure Shadowcaster behavior can be adapted to use custom masks.
