  • You might not want all objects that are in a layout at the beginning of the layout, so an optimization for that would be nice.

Adding events just to take care of that seems redundant, and prone to cause errors. Try duplicating a layout, and event sheet, and removing an object without removing associated events for example.

  • You should put together a portfolio, and resume.

Im sure Anna's will say something about her attention to detail.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Well the only thing you can't do with C2 is "preload" an asset that's not in the the current layout, and get some confirmation that it is loaded.

Loading assets that way should be discouraged even though there is no formal recommendation, other than layout by layout loading.

I've seen several threads advising people to place all the assets on one layout, and that's a bad idea imho.

If you want to do that then by all means, go buy the plug, just don't blame C2 if you can't figure out why the regular method doesn't work.

Ps: the reason the regular method might not work is because the assets are too heavy.

  • If it throws an error message, then its a bug, but it has to be replicable.

It's not likely to be the fault of the tilemap, but of physics.

  • Replicate the error in a capx of minimal events.

Reports without a c2 file are useless.

  • Does the "bomb" exist after the three seconds?

  • Yeah drag, and drop .gif as frames in a new sprite, but they are practically useless, no alpha, low quality, etc.

The only useful purpose of text is for events, and I would expect someone to create some type of editor at some point, but it would be more useful for batching, or correcting errors than event creation.

There might be a case for an event editor if say C2 were to ever be open sourced, but that's highly unlikely as its direct competition, and should be for several more years.

Like some bastardized editor made to work with C2 and Godot in 2030.

  • Well its 2d , so I don't see where the pipeline is supposed to go other than a 2d image editor.

While it might be possible to use a multilayered save type, it's certainly not going to happen in Construct 2.

You could possibly use tif, or Gimp's xcf, but Photoshop's psd, or psb are unlikely since they are proprietary.

Gif, can be done now, but it's limited by its own specs.

  • Or you could just say " Hey guys, you can copy and paste events from one to the other".

  • Dunno, Im still stuck on how magnets work.

  • I have a client that wants to speed up loading by downloading multiple games to a local folder, and then run them from another app when needed.

They have tried using the local browser, but its not working. Is there some solution besides hacking in a webview?

  • They want the assets hidden, so wouldn't the proposed encryption that was discussed when C3 came out solve that anyway?
