  • I just took a look at it. The base is there but in order to really make it as good as it could be here a are few sugestions.

    1. Use the common Dialog for saving and loading its pretty easy to use if you need help ask around.

    2. make the Save button an add Key button having both a save and save file is confusing.

    3. Why is the name of the key shown but not the value?

    4. In the about, the web address is scirra.com not .net

Good for a first release and these changes will help a lot. What are you planning on using this for or is it just a little learning thing?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I think that playing stuff from resources is broken in .99.3. So odds are is you are doing it right its just that its a bug.

    I may be wrong though.

  • Some things cant be unseen man I was hoping to go my entire life without seeing that.

  • if the objects are global then they will not reset because they are global. gobal objects dont act like you think they would. I would use global for things like function and M&k.

  • Laptops are not good ways to cook a steak.

  • Stupid turtle rock is the most annoying zelda dungeon ever.

  • Posting a cap would be helpful when you ask for help that way we can better help you.

  • There is, programs for creating 3D games, and easy, As the Creator Esperient.

then go use that. We are not forcing you to use construct.

MMF2 and has the Game Maker, the 3DBox is not so powerful so as Mode7 and D3D

Mode 7 is not 3D it is 2d faked to look 3d using distortion and you could probably get the same effect with some playing around.

  • There's an existing issue of 2D art being difficult for many users. How would they cope with having to make full models for everything in their game, I wonder.

    QFT

I Know I can count on one hand the members of the forum that i KNOW can do 3d modeling. and even then only a few of them can do 3d characters not to mention the rigging and the texturing.

3d in the industry still has almost no engines that can do everything most engines are made for one game and then are modded by other studios to suite their needs. as others have stated a WYSIWYG 3d editor would take a lot of time and effort.

The other makers have support for 3D, even weak

what other game makers are you talking about. and there is some 3d support for the 3d box.

people like me who are okay at graphics but not so good at other stuff.

You might be good at graphics but can you do 3d graphics and if you can can you do rigging and texturing?

I would be more than happy if you eventually enabled New Super Mario Bros. style graphics, though.

you could do this style now it would take alot of time and work but you could still do it.

  • You could always create an event sheet with all your game code and include that in each layout. Event sheets that aren't tethered to a layout can access all objects.

you dont even need to include it in that layouts event sheet in the layout propertied where it says event sheet you can set the event sheet to the one that you put all your game code in.
