  • Wow, Niger in Africa has 233 out of 1000 births being made by underage (teen) girls... the UK on has 20 out of 1000 D:

I guess there are muchworse cases... 11 times worse...

    ~Sol

yes but these people have electricity!

    (I kid , please don't kill me)

  • his problem is that it fits even though it shouldn't

You found a tear in the fabric of time and space, so just destroy the entire drive before we all get sucked in...

Or you could use it to store any laundry that doesn't fit inside your closet. just a thought

  • Odd it works fine for me...

    Nice one aeal!

  • Hello guys.

Construct crashes when I try to add an animation newest version. (9.8.7 I think?)

I even tried to re-install construct but it failed to fix the issue.

I don't know if it's a vista problem or if nobody has tried to add any animations, or if it is only my computer.

I also can't add directions to sprites.

This has never been a problem before. I even tried it in a new .cap and it still happens...

I cannot make games without animations or directions!

  • I found it on the clickteam board before the post was erased I think.

it was an early demo, but I remembered it and kept checking up on it...lurking

  • Try scaling everything down to 128x128 or smaller.

One desperate question: could I stack two 128x128 sprites on top of one another?

Would this help at all or am I just SOL?

If my proposed solution does not work, I may only make the character this large and make the enemies small ...

    Thanks for the help.

  • [quote:yvskx95j]Currently Construct loads all textures from all objects in to VRAM on startup. This should be improved to be configurable layout-by-layout in future, but that still won't help.

are there any plans for a configuration option soon?

seems kind of odd to load in textures i won't even use until the end of the game when I boot it up...

I'm also working on this project and can scale the render size of the character...

Also, would loading external images work? loading when we need them only?

Or once loaded, can they be forgotten somehow?

if I got the textures down to 256x256 and cut the animation sizes to a maximum of 30 frames at most for the longest animations, 16 for walking, and 6-8 for idle would this be a big help?

  • hi,,

    1. The 8 directional movement provided with construct is prepared for cars. Haw can i make zelda/ff

    Change the rotation options.

8 direction works just fine for a Zelda type game

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Data can also be stored and saved in an array if .ini is not to your liking...

  • > This kinda goes along with his question but would save on file size if I has a script that loaded masks for levels instead of laying them out in the layout editor?

    >

Loading your masks from disk at runtime will make your .cap file smaller, but those mask files will have to be distributed with the .exe instead, so it wouldn't really make a difference size-wise.

Unless the .txt file used to load in the masks (an INI file, right aeal?) is smaller than placing 1 of the same object around a layout...?

  • Families would be the best way to do it, if you don't want to make them all 1 sprite.

    http://apps.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/c ... e=Families

When used correctly, they should eliminate the repetitive code you are worried about

  • We all knew we could count on your for high quality grass.
