  • i added mouselook to that demo and posted it on the second page. i think a 3rd person Doom/wolfenstein style shooter would be possible. but now that today's technology allows gamers to play in full 3D environments, i'm not so sure a doom/wolfenstein style shooter would be very attractive to users.

  • i just have to say that you have a very novel game idea here and i'm looking forward to seeing more

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • i thought i read the networking stuff would be in the december update =/

awesome stuff added in this update, but networking is my most anticipated future feature

  • how much control will we have over netcode? would a server browser (that we make in construct) be possible? can we dictate what information/events are sent as packets?

  • pretty neat concept

  • Uh I don't know what going on with this one...LMAO

but anyways, I can only get it to shoot, and nothing more.

    This...creeps me out....

yeah, not so much a game as it is a basic example of heatseeking missles and a couple possible explosion effects.

  • Construct is DirectX (basically exclusive to windows). most other platforms are OpenGL (or some variant). don't bet on it =/

  • Remove the effect for the object "pRed" and the .cap works.

well this makes it even weirder...

it does indeed fix the example .cap i provided. that effect was leftover from some testing. but if i try removing the effect in my actual project .cap file... it doesn't make any difference -- still stops. i'll try to make another example .cap, without any effects, but still with the bug.

keep moving right, and it will stop pasting the object around x = 320.5... the canvas covers the whole stage. this problem only popped up when i added screen scrolling, but i've added scrolling to that growing vine .cap without any apparent problems. what's the deal?

edit: if i add vertical scrolling, the problem applies itself to the Y axis, too. it creates a box that is half the screen x and half the screen y, and won't work outside of that...
