  • Yeah I caved later on after that post and looked at some wiki stuff. Now I have the basics, like workbenches and stuff, a few weapons and a stack of resources.

My "dwelling" is rather large now as well, and I have an underground "dig site" in my basement I will tunnel until I reach HELL! xD

  • I just got this and have no idea what I'm doing... I've spent the first three nights so far in my little "box" I made... now attempting to span this big ocean by making a bridge.

I have no weapons, lights, anything like that...

    HALP! xD

  • OK great thanks. I will just need to find a program I can use to simply create a UV wrap. Pretty sure Zbrush allows this, I might have to have a play around.

  • YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! IT WORKS

you are a genius! ... why didn't i think of this... i actually only thought of making it bigger

    Cool at least it works.

Seems that sketchup's scale is enormous. I had to make the model super tiny after I made it and it was still 500x too big.

Now to figure out how to texture the damn thing... not sure if a UV wrap will work or not? Also sketchup doesn't seem to support UV exporting anyway, so I will need another 3d package to make a UV wrap and test it out.

If anyone else already knows or figures it out first please post results here.

  • Fixed it.

Turns out the model was like 5000x too big... it was there but you couldn't see it because it was freaking gigantic.

    Thanks again Shviller.

Anyone else may be having the same issue.

Drop the scale down (I ended up at 0.005 to make it fit on screen) and apply a texture to the face, any texture. Then it should work.

  • Is the model high poly? I think it refuses objects with too high poly count.

    37 faces?

    VERY basic google sketchup model.

I tried obj and 3ds formats as well, no luck.

Here is the model if anyone else wants to try?

  • I am having the same problem as the OP.

The model won't even show up in the editor let alone runtime.

    Path= C:\test.obj

    Nothing...

    Version 99.92 still...

  • A place called "Just Host" is pretty cheap. Not as cheap as lucid's find...however they have 24/7 tech support, the servers seem fast, and you get unlimited bandwidth and space etc. Support for MySQL, Ruby, and bunch of other stuff too.

Check 'em out, just Google "Just Host"

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • As for event-written plugins/behaviors - these are actually quite a popular and oft-requested feature.

For ass-hats like me who can't program to save, well... anything's life...

This would be a very welcome and powerful addition to Construct.

I have spent countless HOURS even DAYS making some custom thingy-ma-bob do a hers-a-whatsit for the thingy-mer-jig, only to want to use it again somewhere else on another project. It would be sweet as to be able somehow export the event group/selection/sheet/whatever to make a single-click implemented "plugin" that could be used by anyone and everyone.

As much as an online multiplayer plugin makes me gush... I would LOVE to see something like this (especially if anyone has a chnace in hell of keeping up with lucid ).

Between last weekend and this weekend I made an Easy To Use Dungeon and Maze Generator plugin. See Completed Addons for release.

Awesome Luomu, that turned out freakin' sweet... I've been watching the progress of this plugin with eagerness.

Looks like a very polished plugin now, thanks a lot for adding something so cool and useful

  • Been meaning to try this out for like, ever.

Someone in chat mentioned something about it a few days back... I thought I hadn't heard of it before until I watched the video and realised I had seen it prior.

The multiplayer survival aspect sounds particularly interesting.

I suppose it is worth keeping an eye on this one... could prove to be a bit of fun
