I'm sure there are other places out there just as cheap.

and please post them. Cheapest I found though.

just bought a '.com' for $7.99 for one year from 1and1.com

That includes the domain name and I forgot how many emails, since I setup a catch all so will go to me

Good stuff. They offer other services like hosting but I haven't compared those prices

A place called "Just Host" is pretty cheap. Not as cheap as lucid's find...however they have 24/7 tech support, the servers seem fast, and you get unlimited bandwidth and space etc. Support for MySQL, Ruby, and bunch of other stuff too.
