  • I'm kind of having trouble saving arrays and loading them. Is the area you save the array to supposed to be the full directory and or just inside the .exe's directory? I tried both ways, and am I doing the formatting wrong, am I supposed to do "file.test" or something, or how does it work? Whenever I try and save the array, it crashes the program. I have tried every sort of variation in the way I did it to try and get different results, but it crashes on me. If anyone could possibly help me solve this, it would be very appreciated. Thank you <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" />

  • Okay, so I have had this bug twice. I have no idea what's causing it, but after I've had my physics movement engine in for a little while, it starts to mess up in the way that it won't let me place a new condition. It just shows a tab with nothing inside.. Completely blank. I'm not really sure what to do but keep removing the physics engine and restore it, but then I have to redo all of my conditions and everything.. It's kind of annoying. Thanks, any help is appreciated!

  • hey, thanks, that's not a bad idea. It will be a little more work.. But that's okay.

  • Wow, you responded only 8 minutes after, that's what I call a devoted Developer! Thank you for the response. My intent was for simulated key presses, but I understand how that could leave room for bad situations involving users, which is a good reason in itself for leaving it out. I'm loving the engine so far, and today I've been spending quite a bit of time working on a project, and it's been very successful and a lot of fun testing limits. I'm definitely going to be using this engine for quite some time to come!

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey, I recently posted here about another suggestion, but this one seems to be much more quick and simple. I was wondering if it's possible to angle a tiled background, or if that could be a possible future implementation? I could have use for it in my project, as I use backgrounds for the grounds which are sometimes at angled directions for more realism. Thanks!

  • Hello! I am new to the Construct engine, and I have to say, so far I love it! You guys have done some great work, as I love this far more than any of the Clickteam products I've used. I was a previous TGF user, as well as a more recent MMF2 user. I am very much in love with creating games, as I most commonly work within the realms of the BYOND DM engine to create online 2d games. I love creating online games, and all the communities and fun it entails. So enough about my work, I will get to some functions I was going to ask about the possibility of implementing in the future or possibly already existing.

The first thing would be the possibility of adding a send keystroke function to the mouse and keyboard object. I'm not even sure if this is possible, as I'm not really sure what's going on behind the scenes, but I think it would be very useful in some cases if you wanted to retranslate keystrokes into other keystrokes, or output a macro function of some type. It isn't too necessary for games, but it could have some sort of function in games as well, I'd imagine.

My next idea is a sort of online/networking system. I read the post about it in the other thread, but what I am wondering is how far along the realms of time would that be? I am very into multiplayer games and all the work and fun it creates. I have attempted many times to create simple client/server arrangements for games, and although it is very complex in comparison with single-player games, there is a lot more to show for work and a lot more hype generated by something that can expand and develop, as well as create a world for players. The speed and graphical enhancements in the Construct engine are very good in comparison to anything I've seen on MMF. The fact that it can handle DirectX 9.0 so well and handle dynamic content so quickly only makes me love it that much more. So those are my basic two things. I really thought I had more to say, but I can't remember all of my suggestions... So for now, thanks for reading all of this, and I love the engine. I had a few bumps along the way with bugs and crashes, and although I didn't write how it happened down or anything, I'll try to do some searching in the future. Thank you! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" />
