  • I'm afraid I don't know what you mean? The new color settings in r131 allow setting the colors for a lot more of the ui. Perhaps you missed its release today?

  • The new color settings are great. C2 looks shnazzay.

    However, a few are missing.

There are some problems, including going back and forth between dark and light areas is sort of like turning on a bright light in a dark room, and getting the event editor to look right made the event/layout tabs difficult to read.

I don't know how much control you have over the colors - I had to use C2's color preferences, the office 2007 black style and set the colors in windows>personalize>window color and appearance to get it looking like this. However, it would be great if the remaining colors could be set too if possible so we could get a unified appearance like photoshop elements has - even better if we could get it looking like that without having to set the colors of windows itself.

Thanks for listening to us and implementing it in the first place! Even as it is, it's significantly improved. :)

  • It's at irc.esper.net, #construct.

  • Ludei is incorporating webGL, which has layout by layout loading, into cocoonJS and has said they will be releasing a new version with it soon.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Could we get the expressions rAt, gAt, bAt, and aAt, each returning a simple numerical value? As it is, extracting the data from the string returned by rgbaAt is more difficult than it needs to be.

  • I too very much want a dark theme. Even better would be the ability to set the color of every element of the interface in the preferences. Then we could make it look exactly how we want. If that would be difficult, a dark grey with lighter grey text would be great (lower contrast, bright white text on black bothers me as much as bright white background with black text).

  • Sounds like you should file a bug report with on the node webkit page: https://github.com/rogerwang/node-webkit/issues?state=open

  • Hmm... Yeah, I was comparing it to the difference between running games in desktop browsers in canvas2d mode vs webgl, with webgl being faster even though canvas2d is also hardware accelerated, so was expecting performance improvements on mobile as well.

Regardless, even if webgl offers no speed benefit it shouldn't cause a heavy performance hit. Once it sorts those issues out I'll be giving it another look.

  • Well, I was mainly referring to the memory management apparently not working, and webgl should be faster, so it doesn't seem like 100%. :/ I might try playing with it anyway.

  • When I see a tutorial game, or a tutorial game with new graphics, or a example game or example game with new graphics.

I tear into them, 1 star them and tell them that they aren't learning anything by just uploading something. That's not coding, that's not creating that's just wasting your time and ours creating crap that no one wants.

I suggest, that sans regulation - you just rate it low and tear them a new one. Maybe that will at least filter some of the trash that's on there.

Please don't tear into them - we want to keep the community a friendly place for everyone!

  • Awesome stuff! It's a shame webgl doesn't really work on it yet though, because of that it's not really an option for what I'm working on. Hopefully they'll get it working eventually.

  • Ah, cool, I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.
