I am not getting any revenues from that show !

And the rest of shows are made by me. So I am the owner of them. And if you are talking about cartoon network characters I drew myself in the image banner. Well...This website is like a blog and I am just uploading my art on it as if its for my friends only. But I will do a copyright notice in my site regarding all that and that I am not going to monetise copyrighted content !

And for the games. They are paid ! So I use music free from copyrights !

You really made me frustrated !

If I didnt monetise the website and didnt make earnings from animations. Will they pass the copyrighted music in my animations ! I mean its just a hobby not a job. Just activities and projects !

Hey! I'm just telling you the truth, don't make me the bad guy. At least someone told you your mistakes before it's too late.

Again i'm not a lawyer, so it's your choice if you want to believe anything i say from now on.

First, afaik i think you can get away with banners filled with cartoon characters as long as it's a non-paid game or website, it has NO ADS! and somehow in a parodic way. But you already know the downside, you can never make your game look professional because of that limitation.

Second, making your game a resemblance of a popular game + naming it the same or nearly the same, or as a sequel or prequel, is i believe an illegal act. Unless it's a parody of the original game. But i guess a copyright disclaimer will help, but that really depends more if the company actually cared.

Remember your game "Minecraft Legend Series"? That's it.

Third, here this is the one that should be put attention to. You really can't host a streaming site on the net without a license.

Even if you don't monetize your site, it's still illegal regardless.

But again, that all only depends if the company would actually care.

BTW... I don't know if you really put one but i've seen something there that mentions about your site having Ads, that's actually trying to earn and that would be bad in your case.

Okay! This is the last time i will reply to this, because we are not in the right part of the forum to discuss this.

Why copyright issues ! Whats wrong in it !

Before that, i just want you to know that i'm not a lawyer and everything i tell you starting now may or may not be true.

Regarding your question, a lot actually, i thought it was already very obvious. I don't want to spoil your site and all . But it's totally going to end up shut down when Nickelodeon, 20th Century Fox, Cartoon Network, Mojang, 4J Studios and etc. finds out about your site, but that depends if they care.

First, unless you have legal ties with Nickelodeon i suggest don't host a streaming site on your website with videos you are not licensed to show.

Second, don't use movie or cartoon pics for your website design, that's copyright infringement.

Third, don't use names of popular games for your own games. That is illegal afaik.

For the others, you should research about it. I have already given you a head start.

But atleast you've tried and are determined making your own site, i give you credit for that.

Anyway this might not be the right place for this.

Edit: I am designing my site these days before I advertise it. Its for animations and games. http://www.ahmedelgamal.tk Take a look at it and tell me your opinion as a friend rating it !

I think you are going to have copyright issues with your site. I suggest learning International Copyright Laws first since you're going to encounter that along the way on your game developing goal.

  • I think he is talking about the stored localstorage values. If you update your APK (install a new version of your game on your phone) the localstorage gets reset. I'd be interested in the answer as well.

That doesn't happen to me... But if it does happen to you, that is something very serious and needs to be reported to Ashley.

  • actually, i dont use LocalStorage, and the game SAVES the variable values even if i close the game and open again, reboot the cellphone. I think my problem its solved (atleast in my cellphone Zen Fone GO, its ok). aparrently everything went ok after i published my game on google play store, now the values are being saved and it keeps even if i install a new version. anyway thanks for commenting. Hope that you find a solution for your problem

Wait. What? How in the world is that possible, unless you are using the Webstorage plugin...?.?

  • Thanks It's been a long time I haven't checked the humbke bundle website, I wouldn't have noticed without your post.

    >

This makes it sound like loads of games are released each day.

Surely there's only 1 or 2 a month released? or are there really that many that would annoy fellow game makers if they got an email saying a new game is released?

Yes. So many game releases per week. When C2 was still very active like 2015, many games per day were released at the arcade based on my observation. And 90% were sadly unmarketable.

  • I agree on glerikud on this one. You can't expect Scirra to just post all the games made by C2 users, it would result into chaos (a bit exaggeration) . My point is, look at the Scirra Arcade, the site has so many unfiltered games since it is free to publish with little restrictions. Few people expect good games there nowadays because of the majority of broken and unplayable games. If that were to happen with the newsletter, it will be disastrous and i doubt it will even help. Not to mention that many games are made everyday by C2 users and sad to say most of them aren't marketable.

Though, filtered sharing of games through newsletter is another story, and yes it is implemented by Construct 2. They only share worthy games like Klang and dynamic multiplayer games.

  • ziadhorat - Nice. It got listed right after applying. Thanks you're a big help.
