  • Absolutely nothing relating to exporting changed between r293.2 and r293.3. So I suspect the update isn't actually the problem, and so downgrading won't fix it either. Perhaps you made a mistake in using the keystore?

    No mistake in keystore. Where it says Choose file when I select the keystore file the program crashes. I noticed it is only on the downloaded version of construct 3 and not direct from the browser (editor.construct.net)

    The browser version is fine. But the downloaded version breaks. I have been using the keystore key for last week and testing my app on android devices so no problem there at all.

  • I upgraded to R293-3 just now and noticed that export is broken when you try and load a saved keystore key. So I used the browser to go back to version R293-2 and I get the message unable to open as my project was edited in a later version of construct.

    This has put me in a bum situation as I am almost ready to launch my first game and I can not export using construct 3 the update broke it.

    It also adds the score with coin.

    For example when I collect a ruby which is 20 points it also adds the 5 points of the coin. Where it should just add 20 points which is the value of a Ruby. It is doing the same with the other gems.. It is adding the value of the gem but also adding value of the coin on top of it.

    I even tried moving them to outer layers and it just combines all the points no matter what animation is collected. If worse comes to worse I will just have to try a family method outside of animations.

  • On the 'on collision' events you add a second condition 'item animation is playing' so the first one would be 'is playing animation coin' and the second one 'is playing animation emerald'.

    Also remove the set animation actions from those events, you don't need it and it might interfere.

    Just tried this method it does not work. It is still doing the same thing. Doubling the scores.

  • I have created a random spawn object and separated them in animations. So at a random point on the layout it will spawn (Coins, Emeralds, Rubies, Sapphires) here is where I am puzzled.

    I am trying to separate the value of each animation on the score board.

    For example

    Coins = 1 point

    Emeralds = 5 points

    Rubies = 10 points

    etc

    I can't seem to separate the difference between the score and the animations. I don't want to create separate sprites as it would be easier just using one sprite with multiple animations on a spawn.

    This is the code I have...

    Every time I collect a emerald or ruby the score ends up with 6 added. It takes both codes and doubles the score. Does anyone know of a way I can do what I explained above using animations?

  • No, when you download an update to the same app, the localstorage data is preserved.

    But you need to be careful though to ensure that the data from previous versions is compatible with the new version of your game. For example, if you added a new key to be saved in localstorage, make sure that the game still works when this key is not available.

    Thanks for the reply. No keys will be changed in updates I was thinking of adding more levels and power ups at a later date. I was just worried in case the local storage was overwritten when uploading a new version of the same game.

  • I am a couple of days away from releasing my first couple of games for Android and IOS. I have never done it before and just wondering...

    I know if there are bugs reported you can update the files of the game. But would this affect the localstorage commands?

    If someone has say got as far as level 100 and there is an update for the game. If they update the game will their localstorage be deleted?

    I have seen reviews of some games where they complain about losing the level they were on etc.

  • I have looked up tutorial after tutorial about google playstore IAP and construct and it has all totally changed? No one is mentioning it.

    Where I would have been able to setup IAP in the play store console it now says the following.

    "Your app doesn't have any in-app products yet to add in-app products, you need to add the BILLING permission to your APK"

    I am just going around in circles when trying to solve the problem. I can no longer edit or add google IAP in construct 3 like before because of this.

    What do I do?

  • Thanks for your response guys. I tried downloading the pro version of that tapdaq addon and it is a total mess. There is no real code in it, the example the video is silent and there is no one to break it down. It does not tell you how to setup the ads individually like if you were part of ironsource etc how to implement their video reward ads. It installs a list of services but there is just no break down in the tutorial of it.

    That is a very poor plugin and I guess I will just have to export games without ads and find other alternative methods.

    Admob just ignored my request.
