  • Hello,

I was just wondering if forum users with normal permissions can earn enough reputation points to get access to polls. if it's possible, that'd be great. If not, that'd be a great feature to add to the forums.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

I just found this very useful feature for always running Construct 2 as administrator, enabling previewing on LAN. Here we go:

    1. Bring up the options menu (where you find "Run as administrator").
    2. Click on "Troubleshoot Compatability".
    3. Click on "Troubleshoot program".
    4. Check "This program requires additional permissions" and click "Next".
    5. Click on "Test the program" and click "Next".
    6. Finally, press "Yes, save these settings for this program" and click "Close". Ignore the error it gave you. It's not an issue.

I'm running Windows 8, so it might be different on your machine. Happy previewing!

  • Hello,

I'm Zoyt. I'm new to the forums, but not Construct 2. I just thought I might as well join. I've coded in just about any visual coding language you can find. I've even started making my own. I've coded in GameSalad the most of all the languages, but noticed that it was just about the poorest of all the languages. I've come to Construct 2 seeking a better programming language. I am running Construct 2 in a windows virtual machine in Virtual Box (trust me, it's ugly and slow). I can't seem to get Construct running in WIne or CrossOver without crashing when I create a new project, despite all the posts on the forums about that.

I've come to Construct 2 for the perfect game and utility creation engine, and as far as I can tell, it's the best so far. Not only it's built in functions are great, but the extensive support for 3rd party plugins.

    Well that's who I am.

    Thank you!

  • Wow. Good job! This is really cool. The shadows on the blocks are simply stunning. Hopefully your time will pay off some day!

  • Good luck! It looks cool!

  • You can change the color of all the particles together, but I assume that is not what you want to do. I do not see a way to do that through the particle engine, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat. You can create individual objects that will change their own colors and are spawned by the spaceship. It will be slower than particles, but it will accomplish your task. Good luck!

  • rexrainbow's video plugin is probably the best option, but if it's having issues, I'd try to use one of the HTML plugins that allows you to insert HTML into your Construct document (like this one: scirra.com/forum/plugins-pode-html-pack_topic51522.html). From there, you can use the video tag.

Another option is to convert your video to a GIF file and then play the audio over that. Here's just a random tutorial on converting a video into a GIF file: howtogeek.com/72084/convert-youtube-videos-to-animated-gifs-the-easy-way-no-photoshop

Here's a free converter to convert your video to HTML5:http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/guides/free-video-to-mp3-converter.htm

    Good luck!

  • I think I'll buy the $10 parallels I mentioned in the tools section. I'm tired of Virtual Box.

  • Kyatric - Ya... I saw that before. As I said, I have no idea why I set out doing this. Sorry about that.

  • Wow... rexrainbow - That's amazing. I will look at this list.

    Thank you so much!

P.S. Do you have a website or something when people can donate and download your plugins?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm sorry, but I don't see a way to display an RSS feed with AppMobi. Chances are, you can display an RSS feed with the numerous HTML display plugins out there. Let me see if I can find anything for you.

  • rexrainbow - If you could give me a full list, that'd be great. Thank you!

  • Oh. rexrainbow - Sorry about that. I was mainly looking for the text "[PLUGIN]" and "[BEHAVIOR]". It's added. BTW, you've got a massive amount of plugins. I congratulate you.

  • Hello,

I've been looking for deals for Parallels Desktop, and found one for version 7. Here it is:

Now I can run Construct easier!

    Happy virtualizing!
