Zoyt's Forum Posts

  • Hello,

I don't know why I set out doing this, but I ended up making a massive list of all 140+ plugins. They are organized by developer. Well, here it is (I though you might prefer not to have an enormous list on the forums):

    jangoengine.com/___oldJango/Plugins.html

Please notify me if I made any duplicates, if there are any plugins that are built into Construct (and aren't MODs), if a plugin wasn't listed, or if there is a new plugin.

    Thank you!

  • I like it! I see you've ran across the Pastafarianism religion too.

  • You can always make a main sprite, then make a grey object with a blur effect applied to it and put it behind the main sprite. That'll give you a shadow effect. That's what I'm doing for my game.

  • Sorry, I don't think you got what I was saying. When I meant is this: You have 2 objects with the "Drag and Drop" behavior enabled. Can you drag both of those at the same time?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Great. Thanks. For my websites, I tend to use PHP to import a file that is my header and footer and input it in the document. Just an idea.

  • Hello,

This isn't really a bug, but more like a small thing that drives me insane for no apparent reason:

Across your website, you have about 4 different themes. If you could make the website use one theme, then I would be less twitchy when I use your website. <img src="smileys/smiley29.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Thank you!

P.S. I prefer the theme the forums use the best.

  • Hello,

I'm trying to cram in every line of code that I can into my app before I buy Construct. Because I can't test my app on an iOS device, I would like to know if the user of my app would be able to use 2 fingers, both in different draggable objects, to drag both objects somewhere? Any help is useful. If so, it would save me a lot of trouble.

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

I'm making a highly physics based game right now. I found a very useful took to make and test my physics puzzles:

    itunes.apple.com/US/app/id563088306

    Hope you like it!

  • Knifegrinder and Ashley - Thank you, but I'm a cheapo. No money for Paralleled... Yet. Thank you though. I'm running Construct on Virtual Box right now.

  • aindovin - They have a windows version. It's it great for beginner coders, but probably just good for practice coding.

  • sqiddster - Haha. I've seen their team. That is too bad. I guess I'll just have to live... <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hello,

I'm a Mac lover, and most of my family and friends are Mac lovers.

Most everyone I tell about Construct will look it up, look at the features, say it's amazing, go to download it, and discover it's PC only. When they ask me if they can package it in Wine, and I say no, they just leave the Scirra site and forget about Construct 2 forever. That's about 5 people I've seen a similar pattern with. <img src="smileys/smiley18.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I just thought I might as well bring this up to Scirra's attention about the group of people they are missing out on. If you guys could find a way to package Construct in something like CrossOver or Wine and distribute it that way, then we would all be happy.

    Thank you!

  • sqiddster and vandinz -

Thanks. As I said, I already am and I'm making my first game as we speak. If anyone could point me to some help on running Construct in Wine or CrossOver, that'd be great.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,

I'm Zoyt. I'm new to the forums, but not Construct 2. I just thought I might as well join. I've coded in just about any visual coding language you can find. I've even started making my own. I've coded in GameSalad the most of all the languages, but noticed that it was just about the poorest of all the languages. I've come to Construct 2 seeking a better programming language. I am running Construct 2 in a windows virtual machine in Virtual Box (trust me, it's ugly and slow). I can't seem to get Construct running in WIne or CrossOver without crashing when I create a new project, despite all the posts on the forums about that.

I've come to Construct 2 for the perfect game and utility creation engine, and as far as I can tell, it's the best so far. Not only it's built in functions are great, but the extensive support for 3rd party plugins.

    Well that's who I am.

    Thank you!
