• Nice work Wastrel. I also was thinking of making a point, and click style game. This will come in very handy I think for a lot of people. Thanks for the nice example.

• Lol just had to share.

Adsense works the best when it comes to advertising.

I would have to disagree about working best maybe it pays out the most sometimes. Google Adsense has a algorithm that searches for a 3% or more increase in account ad clicks per month. If you are a small website or business, and Google notices a 3% or more increase in your sites ad clicks you will receive a email like this:

his message was sent from a notification-only email address that does not

accept incoming email. Please do not reply to this message.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

After reviewing our records, we've determined that your AdSense account

poses a risk of generating invalid activity. Because we have a

responsibility to protect our AdWords advertisers from inflated costs due

to invalid activity, we've found it necessary to disable your AdSense

account. Your outstanding balance and Google's share of the revenue will

both be fully refunded back to the affected advertisers.

Please understand that we need to take such steps to maintain the

effectiveness of Google's advertising system, particularly the

advertiser-publisher relationship. We understand the inconvenience that

this may cause you, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and

cooperation.

If you have any questions or concerns about the actions we've taken, how

you can appeal this decision, or invalid activity in general, you can find

more information by visiting

http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Then if you appeal there decision even if you can prove you did nothing wrong they will send you a email like this:

ello,

Thank you for your appeal. We appreciate the additional information you've

provided, as well as your continued interest in the AdSense program.

However, after thoroughly re-reviewing your account data and taking your

feedback into consideration, our specialists have confirmed that we're

unable to reinstate your AdSense account.

As a reminder, if you have any questions or concerns about your account,

the actions we've taken, or invalid activity in general, you can find more

information by visiting

http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

Then they will keep all the money in your Google Adsense account, and banned your email address so they don't have to ever deal with you again.

If you want to use the banner factory model for making money I would strongly suggest using an alternative to Google Adsense. It might not pay out as much but you will at least get paid.

Another way people are making money from there games is buy selling virtual goods in game. Zynga uses this method on facebook, and out did EA Games in yearly sales last year.

• Thanks Rexrainbow this is just what I needed. This ones a great time saver.

I agree you do make some pretty awesome contributions. My Construct 2 plugins, and behaviors folders are full of rex_folders.

• Hello franco316

You could take a look here:

Vertical Scroll Plateform game

Hope that helps

• Try putting it on a flash drive or exterior hard drive, and see if you can run it from that. Also you might want to first try running it as administrator.

• That's a pretty cool little Christmas game chrisbrobs. You sure can crank out those games. Keep them coming

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Nice job! Fun game, and cool graphics.

• Absolutely one of the most hilariously entertaining first person shooters I think Iv ever played! This morning at work I was playing it, and I couldn't stop laughing. Everyone in my office tried it out. It was the most unproductive hour I think we ever had but very entertaining. Even the girls that thought it was cruel at first, started to laugh.

We all agreed that you should continue the development of this game. More levels, more cuter critters as you progress, weapons upgrades (you know like rocket launchers, grenades, and stuff ) more cute critter sounds when they get shot (LOL), O'ya almost forgot my boss requested more blood. They all asked me to ask you if you were planning on making a mobile version for ISO, Android, and RIM?

Anyway great job! Hope you continue developing this game I think this is one that could sell good on the mobile market.

• So, who are you?

Hello My name is John Wienke

I have been here for about 2 months now. But I just realized that the only way I would get an introduction badge is by formally introducing myself. I have been employed as a web developer for the Wisconsin State Journal a local state news paper were I live for the last 2 years. In my free time I am a freelance web developer/designer.

How did you find out about Construct? I have no life, and spend all my time on line doing searching for things that interest me. Just being honest.

What brought you into the seedy underworld of making games? Lets put it this way I have always wanted to be a game developer, and now that the languages I know best are the way to go, and Construct 2 exists it is all possible. As far as seedy underworld goes that is something I am trying to get away from.

What interests you? Programming.

Where have you been? A very dark place that I would do anything to get out of.

Where are you headed? A much better place now that I am here.

• Braxmule is there a minimal amount of entries rule?

• Yes, there certainly is. It is a good practice to test your game out in all of the top 5 web browsers to make sure it runs good in all of them before releasing it to the public. Just download, and install them. Then start up Construct 2, click on your layout area, in your layout properties window click on project properties view, then scroll down to were it says preview browser, and select the browser you want to use.

• Cool game! I made it to hole 5

• delgado sorry to here that. Why don't you do like Ashley said and send it to him? I think his email is ashley@scirra.com. He said that they usually can fix them. Or just send it to my private message box here, and I will try my new nerd rage technique out on it.

I know I don't have your sprite graphics, or animation's but if I can find all the sprites that were separated form there image points I could just replace them with dummy sprites, and reset there image points. Then all your events would still be there. All you would have to do then is replace all the dummy sprites with the original ones.

• Thank you delgado you just helped me fix it.

After reading your post the whole thought of starting over through me into a fit of nerd rage. So first I tried swearing at my computer, and that didn't work. Then I tried violently hitting the retry button a couple of hundred times, and that didn't work. So then I got real mad and swore at my computer while violently hitting the retry button, and I got this error:

---------------------------

Failed to load texture

---------------------------

Error loading texture 'C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\cap2T8RVY\Animations\Scope\Default\000.png': Failed to read image file data

This may indicate a corrupt PNG file in the project directory. The image will not be able to be displayed in the editor.

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

Which let me know exactly what was wrong. So then I pressed the ok button, and reloaded that sprite in the error above.

What happened was the sprite had been moved about 600px away from it's image point. So all I had to do then was just reset the image point, and now everything works fine.

From now on I'm going to save copies as I go. But maybe this information might be useful for fixing this bug now that we know that something is causing image points to separate from there sprites.
