• R0J0hound can you please add new action type that controls all music and all sound?

just like you have in every games.

Becouse if i ingame want to volume down or up ALL the music or ALL the sound effects i need to copy/paste each and every possible SFX and music into the event.

It is very importand to me.

  • whats wrong with this picture?

  • Why not instead of crippling a good idea, monetize the stuff around it. Construct is the engine let the engine be free. Don't put all work on a paid version but instead you could open up a market place for resources. Plugins, sprites, arts, services. Make everyone be able to make some money by letting people post their stuff for others to pay to have in their games. Then you can take some percent of the sale.

this. belive it or not but its actualy working. as a matter of fact i belive you will make the most money and gather the biggest amount of support and user-base following this method.

I can write a book about "why" but i dont have the time. instead, ill just say ive been working in games and softwere industry for quite a while.

If you would think for a moment, and look around, check how industry works i am sure you would come to the same opinion.

  • Its actually one of the easiest to use. All it does is generate hash data that you can then use to determine if a file or data has been altered.

Or like Tom was explaining about how the Gravatar thingy can detect your email addy without having to show it publicly.

Quite possible, but it doesnt change the fact that i couldnt figure out how to use it

And as i dont feel that unique ( ;) ) i presume that there more people then just me, who also cant learn that.

In the other hand, method described in this tutorial can be used by anybody, anywhere, anytime. Without the use of all that scary words like "hash"

But as i stated at the end - the more the marrier!

mixing diffrent protection methods and techniques into combo, as long as they are compatible, empowers the overall protection.

Its not a choice of "this or that", but rather "this or this AND that".

And i would to like say this again - theres virtualy no kind of softwere protection that CANT be cracked.

But to "crack" trickery you need hell of a brain and strong portion of detective sense

  • Might point out we have an official plug that does Crc32 in CC.

Not that it has much to do with obfuscation.

yeah but i never figured how that thing works actualy

so to not sound as a hypocrite i havent said a word about it.

  • Hi The_Funny_Guy,

I've reduced the tutorial submission minimum rep to 250 to allow you to post this under the tutorials part of the website if you wish! It should then reach more people and be more recognised and useful for other casual users as well.

    Tom

  • put me on a stick but i actualy love new layout :)

now the website and the forums looks more... "serious", if you catch my drift.

the old style was shouting "me and my buddy are making programs in our garage".

This new one when being a bit corporate and mainstream is also very elegant, readable and organised.

  • thanks for help. I looked on AGS and I didnt find a way how to make some puzzles without scripting. Also AGS support max. 1024x768 resolution. I want 1280x800 or higher.

then try your luck with CC but take loads of patience with you. and devotion.

  • Looks good, but I'd get at least a Radeon HD 6850 instead of the nvidia 550.
