  • Hey you,

Are there any tutorials out there can cover advance AI control? I am looking to make enemy ships fly in on certain paths. Randomly pick one of those paths. Then when its completed its path, hang around for a bit shooting at the Player. After X amount of time, the AI flies off the screen.

So, yea, do you have any tutorial links or tips for handling this?

    Thank you,

    Stephen

  • Yea, I followed that tutorial but I don't have a public folder.

I found a free host for now. Hopefully that'll do.

  • Simple question. So we need our own file host to upload to Kongregate, or will I frame thing download the game to their servers?

    Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

  • Scammers always have terrible English, lol.

  • Hey,

Have you uploaded your game to Kongregate yet?

    How was the experience?

Is it worth the hassle to even bother?

    Did you make money?

Any tips or advice before I begin the lengthy process?

    Thanks,

    Stephen

  • Took ten seconds to find this link....

    Jump Strength

  • The only thing I can recommend, with such little information, is to test another phone on it. If you have the same problem then you know its your capx. If the problem goes away, you know its your Lumia.

  • Which mobile device are you using?

Which tool are you using to export your project?

    Can you post a .capx?

  • Didn't even know there was a path-finding feature in the engine lol. I will start there.

EDIT: Gave that a look through and I don't think that is what I need.

I need enemies to follow a set path. But there's no way to set the path?

  • How do I select the target platform? Is this already done when we go to export the project?

  • Create another Layer. Then when the user presses the options button, for example, set your Help Screen layer to visible. Then when they close it, set that layer back to invisible.

Here is an example of what I use to switch between my level select buttons.

EDIT: I should also mention that I just controlled a variable with the left/right buttons and made display changes based on that value. You don't need to do this. Just use On Touch > Help Button. Or w/e it is you are using.

  • I've actually removed the .ogg files and freed up 4 megs. Leaving my game at 3.6 megs. Removing the other .wav/.m4a didn't even free up 500 kbs.

  • Hey everyone,

Is there a way to disable .ogg files from being created and used in C2? I can cut my game size in half if I remove these file types. But, in doing so, I lose all events corresponding to them and I am unable to make new ones because said song/sound is not in the list anymore.

My target platform supports .m4a and .wav so having the .ogg seems redundant.

    Thanks

  • Yes, but you need to purchase a license for Construct 2.
