  • A forum in another language will work if you have skilled users in the software that can support the questions of the newcomers... else you will just redirect them here to find answers.

Not sure dividing a small community is a good idea, I am very unlikely to visit the russian forum and most of us will never see your work if you don't post it here... unless you do a monthly recap of what happens of your side or something like that.

  • 6$ for a title that is nearly 20 years old?

It's a good game, but I'm not sure what to think of people who buy over rights of abandonwares to sell them that high...

  • I guess most people using an english software are likely to master the language enough to get what all this is about... and making an effort to ask for help properly is fair to me ^^

That being said, we could create a french section, seems quite few are gathered here, but unless some of us are construct experts, it would not have much purpose...

  • Nice game, reminded me Sutef few times, but it got its own charm... and these fleas are very very naughty enemies, good thing that they explode by themselves ^^

  • Or reintegrate the "foe" feature, it was the nonviolent way: ignoring spambots without killing them...

  • If they are old enemies fighting on a new ground, you could use this theme for the title and put your splash screen direct in action, more than "battle robots" on a space background, which can be any game.

What type of gameplay would it be?

(And I just love this "My little turret" picture)

  • Few things don't work for me (using Chrome):

    • preview post open a pop up window saying there is nothing to preview!
    • new posts show me posts from my last visit... but consider my arrival as my last visit, so there is no new posts...
    • Making text in bold does not work when i select the text to bold it, it either put the {b} things at the end of the text, or pop up a window to ask me to retype the text i want to bold, to put it at the end anyway > preview post
    • quotes of previous posts are slightly bigger than the forum column and add a slider bar for nothing
    • i cannot search my previous posts (which makes it hard to follow a conversation)

    Little things, but annoying ones...

  • It's a very good book, but very theoretical, if you need something more "on hands", you may consider "Level up" besides.

  • That rocks! And competing with a game in a video comp is a feat by itself! Any plan for using your things in a game later on?

And if you get videos of your workshop, I'll be interested to see how you do that.

Anyway, good luck for the competition, that's some great job you got here!

  • Try Construct 3

  • I'll moan some more: this bright bluish green is glaring and is not related to the other colours in any way!

Oh, and I liked having the latest posts of the forum on the main page, I miss that function.

  • Same here, I got kicked out the forum few times as well. And when I got back , I got this on all tabs i opened (using google chrome and windows7):

    Server Error in '/' Application.

  • I agree on the font size, I have to zoom out the forum to get a proper size, and zoom in back on all others...

The light green background is a bit too bluish for the theme. You may change the colour of the stripes to make them more yellowish and fit the other shades of green. Also, it is very bright and makes the overall forum very glaring on my screen.

(and I don't like that everybody sees I always edit my message after I post them)

  • Gravatars take 5 to 10 min to be updated, the only way to check if it worked is to wait.

  • The thing where you host your files have more than 3 different download buttons... I'm not sure i'm willing to trial and error here. Any clue or better hosting?

Else the screen shot looks pretty nice!
