  • i my opinion for the pictures above, it would have to be 3d engine.

That was my initial thought too. But since they're remakes of old classic 2d games I'm thinking maybe they're just 2d games with kickin' graphics.

  • I've noticed the search can be a little buggy and "unavailable" at times. Any chance of using Google to power the search?

  • Hmm, so FRAPS didn't work out?

  • Thanks all. Sorry if I bother anyone with silly questions. I often find that I don't know the types of things that people are expected to know but do know the types of things that people aren't expected to know ... if you know what I mean.

  • I think this is what you want.

The key is the "For Each" condition

  • Hey, I didn't know that either. I added this to the wiki:

[quote:2lnacxax]To move an object from one layer to another you may click on the object and drag it to the appropriate layer in the layer bar.

Is that a fair, accurate statement?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • But it seems like it would be difficult for the user to automatically determine how big the text box should be just based on the message text. (Unless it were a feature built in to Construct that shrunk the text box to fit the message.)

  • I really like the 2x zoom on the mouse wheel. You can zoom out to send him far away and then zoom right back in on the action. One problem with that though. The zoom zooms to the center of the window, so if your player is on near the edge of the window you might not see him at all in the zoomed in window. Maybe zoom could zoom in on the player somehow.

  • I agree about the hi res GUI, although I'm not really sure what touches you are referring to. I also think it doesn't need to be quite that big. Maybe I would change my mind on that if I played the game. Overall I think it's a very good change though.

I suspect holding down the mouse and having the slash direction would be a good way to allow the user to easily perform several different attacks. I don't know about anybody else, but I always have a hard time with those games where you have to do <- + v + -> + jump + attack in order to do a special move.

  • And I also have to relink all my sounds because I moved my project folder. Oh, the tragedy... will the suffering never end?

Maybe there's a hotfix for that if you play your cards right.

Really though, I'm looking forward to seeing what the real ending is supposed to be.

  • You know, I kind of like being able to change the direction of the hamburgers. That would be a good way to really clear out the enemies.

Anyway, is there a new download link?

  • The money is a little hard to see when it drops on the ground with all the other effects. Maybe when it shows you how many points you got (10, 20, etc.) that number could fade away.

Also, it's a little buggy. I got my char down to -200 Health and he didn't die.

    Apparently it is http://deta12.com/hl2d.php now.

Edit: Hmm, it crashes for me when I try to shoot the SMG. It makes for a good game of chase though. By the way, the GMArcade "Play Online" link didn't work for me either. But I'm on a public comp, so maybe that's just me.

  • This is nice.

I'd love to see the skulls drop with physics. So when they dropped to the bottom they would roll slightly to one side. Hehe. You might have to put invisible walls in between the columns to keep them from all rolling into one big pile though.
