  • Sweet laptop man. Sounds a lot like the MSI GX620.

If you are keen on the PhysX thing, you should check out Ageia and see if there is an SDK available. It would be awesome if Construct could use the PhysX technology to process all the physics objects.

Also, I prefer AMD and ATI as well, yet I bought Intel and Nvidia this time around lol.

Same. It seems like every forum I go to everyone is way younger than me. Old people like games too, dammit . Hell, I've got consoles and game carts that are older than half the people in this thread.

    Hahaha tell me about it.

There was a survey done a few years back before the "next gen" consoles were released, which showed that the average age of the "gaming" demographic was 35 years old.

I also have some old school consoles kicking around, like my NES, TG16, Mega Drive, Master System, Atari Lynx, Game Gear, and even my old C64. Unfortunately I don't have my Atari 2600 anymore, or my Dad's old Intellivision console... now THAT was some old ass shit right thar.

  • Well its nice to know im not the oldest one here for a change... we can call newt great grandpa, and deadeye grandpa. I can be known as dad.

  • Can't say I've noticed, but I haven't worked on Chamber in the last update or two of Construct. Plan to get back into it after deadeye finishes the comp and puts his new PC together (if it ever arrives). Might have to test it out in the new version and see if anything breaks.

  • for the events setting x and z of each wall3d, did you find those multipliers like and adders like this (sin(Wall('angle')) * Wall('distance') * 64 + 320) through trial and error, or is their some kind of logic behind them?

and how are "Wall" picked for those action pertaining to wall3d in an always

It's simple really... you see... he picked the quantum mechanics of the obliterating photon particle beam and utilized them in such a manner that the fabric barrier of stellar and interstellar simultaneous fluctuation was transmogrified into a paradigm shift of reality vs creating x-rays using cello tape.

    Sif you didn't know that

  • Paste Clone is there so you can copy and paste an objects graphical data. IE animations.

If you want several objects to share the same events, but have different graphics, experiment using Families.

You can create a family, or use an existing one like Terrain for example, and apply events to this:

    +Player collides with "Terrain"
    [ul]
    	[li]do stuff[/li]
    	[li]do other stuff[/li]
    [/ul][/code:2uhbb17y]

Rather than having to make new code for each object, you just assign the Family to the object and the rest is taken care of

OMG she's so stupid she deserves to lose money. "Give me $5.00 and I'll give you $500.00 back"... that NEVER works. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

  • Soldjah, Did you only use the airbrush on that photo? In that case i REALLY don't know how to use that tool! Could you give me some instructions on how you edited that image?

    No probs

Basically, I used the clone stamp tool on the original picture just to fix a few imperfections, like freckles and whatever else.

Next, I copied the layer to a new layer, and used Gaussian Blur on it (about 5-10 pixels) and then used a blending mode of screen or vivid light (I cant remember which one). This will give that soft "glow" effect to the picture.

After that I just made a new layer each for the lips, eyes, and hair and coloured with a solid brush in the general area where I wanted the new colour to be, and used some blending modes like dodge, linear dodge, multiply, etc until I found something that looked nice.

The whole thing took me about 5-10 minutes really.

If I still have it, maybe I can send you the PSD file so can see what I did
