  • Blurrryyyyy!!! lol

look like a sharp setup... but wait. there's snow in Oz?

Snow... crushed white marble stones... same diff?

Yeah pics are blurry... used my camera from my phone. It's not a bad camera, but it HATES taking pictures in artificial light, or in the dark. I'm going to borrow my friends awesome camera to take some better pics later.

Cheers for the comments though. It took quite awhile to set up and it's still not 100% finished yet. Hopefully it will be all completed today though... I need a few more power boards though... I only have 12 so far but I have about another 10 things to plug in lol.

  • Wow... other people have displays like that in your village too? I bet you can see it from space.

    village? lulz XD

I'll take some photos... you guys (especially over there in the UK) will probably freak out. I've seen some big displays before, but there is one in particular I HAVE TO take some pics of. May a bolt of lightning strike me on the man parts if I fail to deliver.

  • Here is what my house looks like this year... not quite finished yet, but close enough. I might take some more when it's all done, and with a better camera.

There are some other awesome houses around near my place that look freakin' sweet. I'm gonna try and get some shots of some of the really over the top ones and put 'em up here so you guys can see.

  • Wow missed your post there some how Impact... lucky though, because I just found a really cool TD game.

    http://www.madcowinteractive.com/TDWarzone/

And yes, I was thinking after Chamber is done I might look at a TD game of some sort. Raze is always an option, but it was more of a practice thing/tech demo/etc.

If anyone else finds some TD games that are worth a mention, post 'em up... I'm always looking for things to do late at night when my brain stops working well enough to create something or play a serious game, but still retains enough basic motor functions to build towers.

  • Apparently in America they see it as a frowning face.... I found some link from national geographic that shows the same thing, but basically upside down.

  • Wow the graphics certainly look very nice

Will have to download this later and see what it plays like.

  • Yep. I took a photo of it last night.

It happens once every 5 years or something like that... will upload later once I find my phone cable thingy so I can get the photo off.

Never mind... just look at this instead:

  • I think making a behavior for it would be a great idea... mainly because it could be used and applied in a lot of other instances than just eyes. I can't test the thing here to see what it actually looks like since I'm st work and all, but I get the general idea and yeah... that would rock.

  • Wow I go away for two or three days and look what happens!

I'm going to have to try this out as soon as I get home! WEEEEEEEE!

  • Hey mate best of luck for the future. Sorry to hear about your bad news. If you get time once in awhile, pop in and say g'day.

  • Wow what a damn shame... that game would have been awesome as hell. Deformable terrain? Why is this not in use already?

I feel sorry for those guys, because they missed the boat by 4/5 of 5/8 of crap all.

Cool pixel art though... especially for the time.

  • I haven't had a thanksgiving dinner in a loooooooooooong time. I miss all the awesome food...

    Turkey

    Leg of Ham

    Cranberries

    Cornbread

    Sweet Potato

    Pumpkin Pie

    Buttermilk Biscuits

    Green Bean Casserole

    Fruit Salad

    Corn on the Cob

I still remember my traditional foods after all these years!

I think I have a craving for sweet potato right about now... gee thanks a lot D:

Also, the whole Thanksgiving thing is a celebration of the fact that, when the Pilgrims of America didn't know how to grow much in the way of food (due to the new land conditions etc) the native Indians taught them about things like corn. It's basically to give "thanks" to the fact that they helped the early settlers to survive rather than slaughter them, like some of the settlers did to the Indians in return for helping them out. :/

"Thanks for not killing me... now give me your food and enjoy this knife wound to the forehead."

    lol

  • Thanks guys

I'm in the home stretch now. Today and Friday are the last full days of work I'll be able to put into this. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so I have to spend half the day with my girlfriend's family (gag). Another wasted night playing Pictionary. Again.

Oh well, at least the food will be good

On the development front I have all the artwork done except one small sprite animation (which I'm about to do right now), and the engine is 100% complete. I've started on the final two cutscenes, mainly getting all the assets in place and ready to sequence the action. I still have to lay out the actual level design, and do some sound effects. Whee...

    gogogogogogogogogogogogogo!

  • ah its a desktop not a laptop. I find i work more productively on a desktop and dont chase my house mates around saying 'look at this utube video!'

Oh snap. I have no idea why I assumed it was a laptop lol.

I know what you mean though... free roaming portability means work just doesn't happen. To inclined to muck around rather than produce.
