  • Hey I really need some help with this fly along game I'm working on.

    I have a star field set in place, and some objects for the player to dodge but I have a problem with the star field.

    It does not continuously repeat itself, it spawns. Then it stops spawning. I'll provide the capx to show you exactly what I mean.

    Then another problem I have is I want the object that the player collides with to repeat in various areas and not just one.

    If you can give me some advice that'd be great, thanks a lot

  • So Scirra gives a great fly along template but the problem is, the player has a weird horizontal movement, I've tried to mess around with this but I don't really understand how to make the movement more snappy for better game player. Example: player falls quicker, and flys up quicker. Here is the capx I'm working on if you can help me that'd be great. Thanks a lot

  • To be clear. I know what a player box is already, I did the platformer tutorial by ashley which included learning this. The problem is it becomes very jerky after I replace the character with the playerbox and pin the animation to it.

  • Hello fellow humans

    So the title says it all, I'm trying to avoid putting the platform behaviour on the player itself because I recently learned that doing this with an animation will lag your player motion and even affect the fluidity of the game. So I've tried to do it on my own by using the auto runner template..but it didn't turn out too well.. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to C2 so I just want to learn as much as I can to put out the best I can.

  • Yeah, I was thinking of making it move to the left, how do you do that? Either way to be clearer: You know how let's say when you're driving, walking, riding your bike, or whatever, you look up and the moon seems to always be in the same position? Or like it hasn't really moved? Because it's so far away right? I want to create that same affect in this game. Like the object in the background is so large, but so far away, that so matter how much you run it's always going to be there. My apologizes about being unclear, I really appreciate you helping me out. Thanks
