  • Problem Description

    It's not a problem but more like a tiny issue

    While Tabing through Project Properties panel when you hit "More informations" help page automatically opens up.

    Tabing through for example Sprite object properties when you hit Add/edit Instance variables, instance variable window will show up, and you can not pass this option with tab key.

    This is true for all options and all object in properties panel which have this kind of options: Help, Behaviors, Effects, Edit...

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Click on some options on Properties panel
    • Keep pressing Tab until you hit an option with blue and underlined text (in default color scheme)
    • This option will automatically be executed

    Expected Result

    Option after pressing Tab should be selected only - usually in other applications is executed after pressing spacebar. And pressing Tab again should move to another option.

  • I never set up any splash screen in any version of XDK and it never shows xdk splash screens. It always simply starts the game.

    But my question is still valid. What benefits splash screen gives you?

    Is it loading a game in background while splash screen is visible? If so, then what about C2 loader layout, will it still be displayed?

    I'm one of them. I'm on mobile internet (no other options available) and usually "send - compile - download" takes more than 30 minutes since my mobile provider "fixed" their infrastructure...

    Offline build would be really nice addition.

  • Unfortunately I don't have an access to wifi so I'm stuck on USB preview (which I prefer cause it's quite fast to do) or build and install app on my phone - this takes too much time for simple previews. But thanks for sending feature request!

    and yeah, official audio is really nice but it get clunky while doing something more than "play file".

    But the splash screen appears before the loader layout doesn't it? So they serve different purposes?

    No idea, that's why I'm asking

    Is it visible while game is loading in the background? if so loader layout is doing same thing.

  • IntelRobert can preview or debug from XDK run in fullscreen? Testing it via USB on my Galaxy S3, there is always statusbar visible on top of the screen and its screwing scaling of my game :/

    edit: and btw. is XDK working fine? I can't build anything :/

  • Microphone works without any problem with crosswalk. Just export "Microphone input.capx" from examples folder.

  • The problem is that many components of the editor were designed as 'minimum viable product' just to get things rolling early on, but were never really polished / finalized. Instead we got more and more new stuff, lots of which is hardly used afaic, and they were forgotten about. I get that Ashley is more or less the sole developer..what I don't get is why that's the case when C2 has a much larger user base than many other engines. C2 should have a decent staff by now. I suppose thats another topic though. Anyway...yes, we finally got proper re-importing for sounds, shader toggle in layout, and animation paths, so hopefully we'll see the rest soon enough.
