  • Ashley, I saw your response to use the Windows Phone export from within Construct, but I'm having the same issue as where there is no sound. I was exporting to Windows Phone 8 and retargeting for 8.1.

    Should the Universal Export be used instead?

    Also do you guys have access to WP devices?

  • I think I may have resolved it, testing now, but the Visual Studio solution needed to be associated with an app in the store.

  • I'm having difficulty getting IAP to work as well. When I was running in test mode it said the product was no longer available. I added events to create graphics if an action completes since I was having difficulty verifying what was happening. Based on the results and the events you can see in the image it looks like Construct is only getting as far as seeing if the Windows Store is online.

    I had made a second in-app purchase offer on the Windows Dev Dashboard to see if my product really wasn't there, but it seems like construct is not even getting the product listing.

    Does anyone have any insight?

  • Ugh. So I made a new project and it works as expected, but doesn't work when I try it with a new layout in a previous project. I'll dig more, and may still post a CAPX.

  • I have even copied the sprites and events from the penumbra example into my Windows 8 project but they don't work. I have tried assigning a motion behavior, set to the position of an object, set to the touch position, nothing seems to work.

    Either the light is moving and the shadow isn't rendering the change, or it isn't working at all. I have been looking that the penumbra example but I am not seeing whatever the "gotcha" may be.

    Is there an essential setting for a light to be able to move?

  • For my windows games I just have a txt file on OneDrive (formerly Skydrive) with Public\View permissions on the generated link. My Policy says "I don't collect your data and I don't want it."

  • I turned of ENABLE WEBGL in Construct 2 and the text fields are no longer blacked out. See if that works for you.

  • Do you see the error when running the RUN LAYOUT from Construct? I see it before I even get to Visual Studio. The error in your log is interesting, though.

  • Ashley, I don't know if you'll see this since the bug is closed, but I encounter this issue on both computers that I own. One desktop, one laptop. I'm dead in the water at this point with trying to update my app "Scary Sounds", which you can probably tell by the name, has a closing window of popularity for another year.

  • I can't read that screenshot. Intel HD 4000 graphics on my personal laptop with 8.1 driver where it doesn't work. AMD 6700 Radeon on my work computer, where the issue does not occur with r148.

  • I updated to 8.1 from the Windows Store on 10/18, so that would be the GA build. I haven't even put the project to VS and see the issue when running the preview from Construct.

    I have the free edition, r139 running on my computer at work, also on 8.1 GA. The text issue does not occur. Downloading r148 to same computer, will post result.
