    I think your CapX is worthy of the CapX tutorial section,You should really think about placing this there for everyone on the forums to learn from,this is pretty amazing.

    My last question is this,Are there any tutorials on how to use this correctly?

    I seen the capX file with Mario and the colored lights and i was wondering how to make that happen.Without some kind of input im lost on what it takes to use this plugin.

    Most of the shadow stuff i dont need,i just want to have colored lighting to go along with my white lighting.

    This plugin does not seem complicated but i would rather know what im doing before i commence.

  • eli0s shinkan is there a specific way to upload this Plugin?? I uploaded it the way i do any normal plugin and it says cannot load when i open construct 2.

  • eli0s ive never been successful making colored lighting. I tried using the colored sprites inside Ashleys demo he provided.Thank you for making a capX file.

    I took a look at your file and i would love to know if this works with Distortion Out?

    I will have a black Overlay that will fade in and out.

    If this does work with Distortion Out,I would have to say that this is Amazing! Thank you once again for your effort in creating this demo for me eli0s

  • Hi everyone,

    I was looking around on the forums for any example that shows how to make Colorful lighting in a decent enough fashion to for us to use for a game.

    I havnt been able to find any examples at all.

    I have been using Ashley html 5 lighting method to learn from but im not getting what i need.Im looking for colored lights.

    I understand that using distortion out on a white spotlight sprite will create a basic light effect.

    But what about adding Color? Ive tried to add a colored spotlight sprite to my demo and all it would do is turn any color i used into a white colored light.

    Has anyone ever made lighting effects in this manner,I really need some feedback on how to make it happen.

    what do i do next? I have found this folder.Why would this not be covered inside Ashley tutorial on how to export to android with crosswalk? im very confused on what to do next since i was under the impression that i would not have to do all of this.

  • Thank you for you in depth reply,I have tried a few different methods and pathfinding is not what im looking for.

    I would love for you to try my capX file and see if you can explain alittle more in depth about DT and how to actually use it in game.I think i have everything down but that.I have learned alot from you and pixel perfick .

    I do understand that setting my enemies .Y to my players .Y every tick will make it constant ,im trying to make the enemy spawn on different planes but then switch to the players. Y wheather it be Up or Down since the player can move up and down at will with the 8 direction behavior.

    Just like the video,the enemies are not always constant on the players .Y they move but when in close they then switch to constant and stay in front of the player. I just need to figure out how to make the enemy move to the players Y after the player does not mimicing every movement.

    Im sorry if im confusing,I really am explaing this to the best of my knowledge of the function.Thank you for giving me your input.

  • Making Games is kinda like making art,or making music,I even compare it to making food.

    There will always be someone who will download your game.People look for new things to enjoy everyday and to say 95% of gamemakers starve is alittle farfetched. I know many of people who never brought a game to any market but still make money from other aspects of the industry.

    The money isnt just made from the Marketplace,money is made through coding,through the artwork,and an array of other ways.

    Just make sure you do your research and study the market and the competition if you plan on trying to sell to the masses.

    Set your goals low at first and build on that.

    Its not 100% that you will become rich but the chances are higher than you making a platinum CD like Jay Z 10 times over.

    Times have changed and we are now in the Era Of The Indie Developers.More and more Million dollar companys are running to indie devs because money gets you alot of things but Creativity is one thing you can not buy.

    but enough of me going on and on.Take a chance and try to fullfil your dream.I hope to see all your names in the credits of a major games! Good Luck

    Im looking for something similar but if i can get help along with you Guy,It would make my project that much better.

    Im trying to find out how make my enemys always mimic the players Y cords so once i spawn my enemy from the left or right side of the screen,The player cant go around them at all.

    I might make a seperate post but i seen this and just figured two questions with one post.It seems to fit here.

    EDIT: I actually just figured out how to make my character always keep the same Y axis as my enemy.

    But what im looking for is Once my player moves up or down i want the enemy to react to the change but im not looking for every tick,i want the enemy to change position maybe a half second later than my player if that makes sense.I know how to make my enemy change position but it jumps,Im looking for a smooth transition

    Im just trying to make my player feel like the enemy is boxing you in,
