  • jayderyu What do you think will be the best route to try and recreate a small prototype of this type of physics?

    Ive never really heard of verlet particle physics.

    The game i shown you is on mobile aswell so im guessing your statement about being super duper cheap is a fact!

    I would love to know how to create verlet particle physics if possible in construct 2.Thank you for your reply aswell,im very grateful.

  • I was wondering if anyone out there on the forums is good with physics or anything like like this.

    Im not really sure if physics are used here but it really looks like it.

    I have a game right here that ive been trying to recreate a prototype off of. the game is http://www.thesandboxgame.com/

    i was wondering if anyone has tried anything similar and was actually successful in there trials.Ive had no luck with frame rate so im guessing there has to be a trick involved if its actually possible .If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them!

    This isnt adding up to me.I feel like im missing information.

    I am using this method to create my inventory.

    What im not seeing is what you are talking about within this tutorisl or any ca px ive seen.

    it really shouldnt be this hard to create inventory systems.People who know nothing about coding are left

    in the dark when it comes to arrays.I just need to figure out how to make my slots appear where I want them to.This Is maddness that I have spent over 2 months trying to get it down and I can honestly say that this is the only thing that stand between me and actually selling this game to the public.Could someone please try and break this down for me.Thanks guys and im sorry for being frustrated. Its not your guys fault.

  • You need to compare/check The squares X position.

    You will need to calculate the volume of the sound compared to where the square is on your slider.

    Double Check what Manarsoft has written and try what he suggests.It should work fine.

  • lennaert I understand the concept behind what you are saying but its not adding up completely to me.

    Is there any example that show how to show your slots where needed?

    From my understanding of how the example is made,i see no real way to dictate the position of the slots.

    Everything makes sense to me but this.

    I really hoped to find some help within some older posts in the forums but it seems that alot of the example capX files are lacking information regarding how to put the inventory together.

    I know that there aare multiple ways to make an inventory but i wish we could have a Universal Solution to making inventory systems.

    Ive spent months trying to figure out how to make it work,im not a stupid individual but this definitley makes me feel like i am.

    I really wish it was alot easier to make happen.

    I am not understanding how to make my slots appear where i want them to.

    Im understanding everything else in the tutorial but i dont see any explanation on how to move the slots from one place to another.

  • Magistross Tekniko If i wanted to use this method to make my Hotbar it would work fine.

    What i dont understand is could i be able to move slots wherever i want?

    I have a backpack that the player will keep all of his ingame items and it will not always be visible to the player and i would love to know if i can create slots where they are needed and if so how would i do that?

    Or am i limited to how the array is drawn? I would love to have my main slots seperate from my hotbar slots.

    Im looking for any examples of some kind of Item Chests used for storing in-game items.

    What im trying to do is simple in terms,but is rather difficult for me to fathom.Ive gotten help in the past with this but alot of what i gotten in return from others just didnt fit what i was aiming to do.

    Im trying to create a simple inventory system that allows me to drag and drop items from my Inventory Array,To my Item treasure chest for storage purposes.

    My game is made for mobile so everything is going to be done using touch screens.

    Im not asking anyone to make an example for me,i do understand the time it takes to mess around with Data Storage,I just need guided in the right direction,truthfully i dont understand arrays for inventory as much as i understand them for terrain generation.

    I didnt think of using a variable to track another variable then just have it reset once a condition is met.

    Thanks for showing me this method and taking the time to write it out.

  • 1) export your game via the Html5 exportation option

    2)Upload the whole eported game folder to a PUBLIC dropbox folder

    3)go inside the game folder once you have placed it inside the PUBLIC dropbox folder,Right Click the htlm link,Once the list pops up giving you the option to create a URL do so and then copy and paste that into your web browser.

  • Im trying to make an enemy spawn every time the player adds so many points to the score variable.I just cant figure out how to make it happen over and over.

    Could someone give me a hint on the expression that is needed to do so.

    for example: Every Time the player adds 5 to the Score Variable i want something to happen.

  • spongehammer There is not one thing that you would like to see in the future C2? This is just a small thread from the community,what is wrong with spreading ideas amongst ourselves.Im not saying that any or all of these ideas in this thread will take place,but its good for the devs to see what people want and how people feel about Construct 2.

    I really love this engine and love talking about it just as much as i love using it.Scirra has changed my life for the better, if i can contribute by helping others spread ideas im more than happy to do so.

    Alot of ideas that ive seen already are pretty epic,i would love to hear yours aswell.

    helena the ability to print would be very useful,i wouldnt mind having it all on paper in a neat fashion.

    I think Ashley and Tom have done quite alot to make this engine as epic as possible for us.But with that said,We still have some things to work on before we can surpass some of the older engines out there like GMS for starters.

    Lighting and the Image Editior are Hot Topics right now.

  • Im starting this thread to get a feel on where we are headed with C2 from this point onward,From the community standpoint.

    It will be a great thing to hear what features everyone wants to see inside Construct 2. One million downloads and counting!

    For me its very simple,i would love to see,

    1) Dynamic Lighting/Shaders

    2) Updated Image Editor...at the least the ability to create circles would be epic.

    3) PS4 Export .......I forgot to add this one

    i look forward to seeing what everyone wants to see!
