    If you've paid for Construct, make sure you're logged in the editor with that username and all features will be unlocked. Contact support with screenshots if it does not work.

    Thanks Tom can't wait until there is a launch button as well! I had the same issue as OP.

  • Similar to dope wars/drug wars in the sense it is random and you travel to different locations all text based I am wanting a system in place. I have the basic idea of creating different variables and randomizing them.

    Just wondering if there is an easier way than creating a ton of variables and using random numbers, etc. Hope that makes sense.

    Yes Chrono Cross goes on my top 10 as well. very under appreciated and often overshadowed by Trigger. That game is what got me into RPGs.

  • gleegum I haven't seen any soccer games and very few sports games. It is possible but difficult. I am currently working on a baseball game and it is way more intense than I thought it would be. You have to think through every possible scenario. If it is your first project I would advise trying something else first other than a sports game.

    paulscottrobson Yes this is the most important aspect, the hitting and pitching. Mine needs some help definitely. I agree fielding is secondary to the others. I just want something basic in place. I may rethink it though if I can't get it the way I want it to be and just focus on hitting and pitching solely. Make it auto-field and auto-throw or something.

    LittleStain That is a good idea. I have them broken down currently into groups, I am glad I am on the right track. Yes there are a ridiculous amount of conditions. This game is much more difficult than I first imagined.

    It is almost overwhelming thinking about it but I have to just take it piece by piece and work on every small aspect of it. The challenge is there are so many possibilities at all times based on where the ball is and fielder is, etc. Thinking through every issue is a challenge. I am just taking it slow though, working on it in 30-45 minute chunks on my lunches to hopefully come up with something decent eventually...

  • Ash10500 This example did help me figure out how to get started, I tweaked it and figured out how to make it work with my game, thank you for your help.

    I am trying to figure out now how to throw to the player closest to a certain base. For example, I am wanting the player with the ball to throw to the player closest to second base by pushing 'W'. It seems to be one tricky thing after another with this baseball game...So far I have it where the player with the ball will turn and throw to second base, so it is partly working. Just now need to figure out how to use the closest too event for this. Any ideas on this?

  • I am going to be implementing some AI in a baseball game I am making. When the ball is hit, the closest fielder will run to get the ball. What is the best way to implement either pathfinding or some other way so only 1 fielder runs to the ball and that it is the closest one to the ball? I will figure out how to do it, just not sure the best way to go about starting this. Thanks for any guidance

  • ReMasteredGames macadamchris I ran into this issue as well. The solution on mobile is there has to be something touched on the screen before sound starts. so have a start button or some other button to have the player push before the game starts and it triggers sound. As far as I know there is no other solution, but I could be wrong.

  • nimos100 fixed it. It was a contradiction with the bunting and swinging.

  • Make sure your hud screen is on the top most layer, it should allow you to see it now.
