Thanks man. Here is what I think the solution is for you, seems to be working. It took a while to figure out but I disabled the collisions of the enemy instead of the player. You can turn the sprite named "invisible" to not visible. I just have it visible so you can see what is going on. Let me know if that works for you.

  • Hasuak I will try to tweak it later and figure it out

  • codah yes I used the magnitude.

  • codah Yea I know I somehow referenced the sine maybe not exactly using that phrase. I need to look when I am home to verify. I didn't use LiteTween or anything.

  • Wossi

I just did this for some text I was fading in and out

    Do this:

Add sine behavior to the player. under sine behavior change to "value only"

    make an event:

ON button pressed -> set player opacity to sine.value(50,100)

This should work. I don't have access to my PC and my CAPX but I believe that is the correct way I did it for the sine.value.

I use Odesk.com and it has been great. Very reasonable prices and you don't have to pay until the job is finished if you don't want. It's all about finding the right person anywhere. I hired 3 different people for similar jobs and have just stuck to one person because he was way better and easier to work with.

The difficulty I have had is making sure they are English speaking as first language preferably. So you can weed out who you don't want. There are a lot of talented people on that website who do it for fun as well as a living. I found someone in the UK who does incredible work for 1/4th the price of someone else I could find doing the same caliber of work.

He has been doing all my art and animation for great prices and is willing to make any changes quickly.

  • blekdar That's a good idea, I will look into that. Thanks

  • R0J0hound is there no way other than this plugin? I would like to fix this same issue but don't necessarily want to use a third party plugin

  • Hasuak korbaach there has to be a way to figure this out. We can get this working correctly.

  • lilvee1989 a DBA just means Doing Business As - it is still technically a sole proprietorship. All a DBA does is allow you to operate under the name of the business and accepts payments made to the business name.

  • lilvee1989 Sole Proprietor is ok, but it's almost always wise to have an LLC though. I set one up in Washington State for about $300. Each state varies in cost but having the shield of an LLC for the worst case scenario of a lawsuit is a good idea. Talk to a tax or legal guy or do some research online to the benefits.

  • I am working on a top-down shooter for PC which will have gamepad support. Looking at my options for publishing I would like to publish it for Android but I hate touch screen controls for twin stick shooters (just a personal preference) and only want to release my game on mobile with gamepad use.

    Two questions:

Does it make sense to release an Android game that only supports use with Bluetooth/gamepad controllers, or is the market too small?

And does any controller that is supported by Android work with C2?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • LemonDROP You could probably use arrays for this. I use arrays for a weapon switching system and it is minimal events. Same principle here could be used. Not at my home computer so can't upload a CAPX

  • According to our website traffic our top visiting countries are the US, UK, Brazil and Russia. Lots more countries have a strong showing but those are the top 4. I'm surprised we get so many visitors from Brazil and Russia since they're non-English speaking! I guess those countries have great language education

BTW you can change your time zone in the user control panel.

Ashley Thanks Ashley, switched it now. Good to know the demographics.

I'm amazed by how much talented devs I'm meeting coming from South Africa lately. "Desktop Dungeon" and "Broforce" are only some examples.

(also, I'm based in France, but you've already guessed that, thanks to my still in beta English).

Aurel love the game you're working on man. I show others your devlog as an example of what Construct 2 can do. I had switched over to using Unreal 4 but came back to Construct 2 because of the quality of your game and some others I had seen. Keep it up.
