  • That's annoying, I hate light, I wish it'd get dark earlier.

  • How/where/why would they go/be useful?

  • What the devil is going on here?

  • The 'selection' group is disabled; right click it and untick 'disabled at start' .

  • OK, families removed.

Is the rest of the design okay?

  • What exactly are you trying to protect?

I'd suggest that although you could add things like online verification or even an online check every time the user opens the program, even these could be engineered out the .exe by someone who wants to pirate it enough.

  • Nice to see the variations here in how people found it .

    Been here since the beginning..

  • An hour has been stolen by someone.. what's going on?

  • WHAT.

  • OK, I've just about finished a total rewrite of the project bar and all surrounding things to do with it.

    Here's how it's looking:

Layouts, event sheets, objects, object folders, resources, etc can all be added/removed/reordered, expanded and collapsed. Sound and music can be previewed via right click and menus.#

One thing I'm not sure on is having families in there; is it necessary or helpful? You can right click the stub to access the family manager, but beyond that it just shows families in use.. maybe useful for a quick overview but..

It'd be good to get feedback on the design; how could/should fonts, colours, bold/italic/underline, etc or more items be utilised to make things even better?

  • It checks for an older version of DX; and in addition, I believe I have lost the installer source code, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Bummer.

  • I don't know their reasoning, but it makes things rather overcomplicated. It'd be far easier to just incriment the letter after 9.0, even if the builds aren't major.

  • Hey,

I think that's a relatively unexplored genre in Construct; but the general concepts of game making in Construct apply, so following some tutorials and such will give you alot of tips. There's been plenty of platforming games made, some involving fighting, so the uploads forum would be a good place to look at some of those (if they can be modded to what you want..)

I'd use the bone movement behavior - documented on the wiki - for the character; this'll save you countless hours drawing and animating animations, as well as giving you an easy way to add complicated attacks.

    Good luck.

  • I'd wait till the next build, when Python has been fixed, and uses the latest version.

  • A wise idea.
