  It'd just import the graphics/animations and resources from an old .cap, which is pretty much as far as it could go without some significant work.

  Tiled backgrounds draw a little slower too; you'd only want to use them - as Ashley said - for tiling.

  Construct doesn't use unicode, so I'd imagine you'd have some trouble with Japanese text, sorry .

  A plugin (maybe the bitmap font object) could be modified or used to get around this.

  While it would probably need a new plugin, Python can do a lot that events can't, via additional libraries.

  Window controls don't work in fullscreen, so I think there'd need to be a new plugin to play videos for DirectX really.

  It's not really a bug, a lot of programs can be stingy with drag/drop, it'd just be nicer if it was a bit larger.

  I understand what you mean. Being able to give layouts/event sheets/object folders/anything in the bar notes would be really good.

  It's a stable release, though, because it's more stable than the last release, without introducing any real new problems.

  The tool window option displays the popup layout's caption a bit smaller. The mouse errors are known about, I think, but if you can't find them on the tracker then add them.

  I'm not sure what you mean closing non-modal layouts, but the destroy action will remove it.
