    http://www.scirra.com/arcade/action/1410/battleshops-beta

    have fun! :)

  • ok, if it really is supported, the only way to upload a game is by removing the <plugin id="Dictionary" version="1">Dictionary</plugin> line from arcade.xml which I believe is a bug :)

    hope that helps

    cheers

  • We are planning to eventually add our own hi-score system to the Scirra Arcade, so I'm afraid we don't want to support the custom hi-scores use case on the Arcade before then.

ok, again, it's not only for high scores but for securing all comunication game <-> server :) so again, is there any chance md5 would be implemented in some default plugin like system?

    http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/md5.html :)

  • you can simply post to the php using custom made forms.

can we get back on topic please? Ashley is there any way of adding simple md5 hash to system object so tha game can be posted to arcade?

also in the other thread about dictionary object can anything be done about this?

    thanks in advance, cheers!

  • its not the problem of a simple high scores, there's pvp involved, so i cant have users changing their stats as they please.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • aridale the problem is you can manipulate post data to post fake scores, that's where md5 comes in.

  • Ashley - arcade? :)

R0J0hound in php it's no problem, in construct it is w/o 3rd party plugins.

  • well i just tried to upload a game and it tells me that my game is using some plugins / behaviors that are not supported. also on the submit page, there is no dictionary object on supported plugins list. is there any way to see which plugin / behavior from my game is not supported?

  • is dictionary object supported? if not is it going to be? if yes, when? :)

    cheers!

  • is there any method using official plugins only to hash something (that can be later checked in php) to prevent cheating in online leaderboars?

if not could it be added pretty please? :) i'm preparing quite large project to arcade and kongregate, so cheat prevention is the key

  • if you import .ogg and .m4a files, C2 just copies them in to the project without touching them.

    8-O

didn't know that, that's actually grat news and negates my first request :) thanks!

  • Knifegrinder is right, usually if you encode a mono wav file it will come out half as big as a stereo file anyway, even if the output file is stereo, because the sound data on both channels is the same. So downmixing to mono before importing to C2 should work fine.

how? 96 kbps is still 96kbps, mono file is not shorter in half. so mono file is same size, just twice as good in quality. hence 96kbps stereo is actually 48kbps per channel, mono is 96 kbps per channel, but still 8 second file encoded with 96kbps quality should weigh 96KB despite being mono right?

  • ok, thanks for answers.

    cheers!
