  • first of all, I really appreciated Scirra and Ashley efforts for pushing Construct2 with the best and important features, especially the functions support which added recently   <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    here my top wishlists which will make Construct2 to became my first and only choice engine for my majority HTML5 games, if it's implemented, whether soon or later.

    [1] Better Tile set Support :

    I should admit i can workaround with this via gamemaker import somehow but i believe it will be very benefactor if Construct2 have better and easy Tilesets Support, similar to RpgMaker or GameMaker, it's a must for rabid developments, should be easy to change tiles and better visibility in the editor.

    [2] Full object deactivation with event control support :

    I read somewhere Construct2 ignore the instances graphics render automatically outside the view screen, how about to deactivate entire instances logic too from happening ? forgive me if this already can be achieved, but i didn't found it or know how to use with events system, in gamemaker if i deactivate objects outside view screen, not only graphics render part will affect but also the logic associated with it too as well, this helpful for better performances and better control for developers.

    [3] Dialogue Objects :

    If this officially implemented to Construct2 it will make my day, this really useful and important for RPG/Adventure/Visual Novels games, i tried to follow some directions to make my text dialogue it was hard ,complex and messy, all what is need is 4 arguments if it would implemented, to work very well in events system.

    1- sprite box (the image size depend on the texts height/width).

    2- text/messages: here we write the texts for the dialogue.

    3- processed button: here to define the button key or var to define the skip process for the dialogue.

    4- sub below events: wait/ignore ( if we put sub events, we can choose whether to wait all sub events below or ignore it, this for better control to not make all text messages visible from the starts or some middle logic from happening immediately before dialogue complete.

    notes: this should work in order lists automatically when add sub events to the dialogue event<<<    

    that's only my top wishlists for Construct2, i know some of the suggestions I listed can be achieved from developers side or usage of third parties plugins, but me personally like to work along with official features, to not worry about future compatibly/broken etc...

  • That's good news, but for Nintendo and console in general, nintendo is the worst to support indie games than Microsoft. also I agree with most, probably html5 for web contents only.

  • Man to be honest, this gain my interest !! very useful to create social apps, thanks for sharing, beside making games with C2, C2 is cool too to design an interactive apps and real time feature would be totally cool.

  • I only paid 79$ for GM-HTML5 <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> and that was 2011-septmber, yoyogames so generous if you are an old gamemaker user who bought their products, so i was lucky back than and i was active to not miss the chance, same what happens for C2 early adopter.

    so later GM-HTML5 became absolute product when Studio released, so i got free copy of Studio/MAC/EXE, and yesterday i got another free key for the steam version, worth mention GM is amazing if you learn and use GML to make your games.

  • I already got GameMaker: Studio Steam Version, i believe i already understood how GameMaker made it their, if you guys didn't noticed yet, the gamemaker studio on steam is special version that integrated very well with steam, and also have special export to steam workshop, i believe every softwares on steam already have direct or indirect integration with steam features.

    construct 2 deserve to be their as long as integrated somehow with steam features and have direct export to workshop, with new awesomium release recently, i see it promising to be their hopefully soon.

  • Construct 2 need a good game to be submitted in Steam to advertise the engine, like gamemaker what doing, beside that also it will be good to have some special features from steam api, like achievements that can be integrated with games, i dunno if this possible with Awesomium.

  • You can avoid hitting the enemies all over, instead how about a sick people/animals and u must cure them with vitamin c/ lemon or something good so they just be happy when you cure them instead you kill them, so everyone happy in the end and also this might tech children how good fruits or vitamin c to them, but if you crush them the player will get sick and lose.

    this just an idea i know look messy, but hope i give u an idea for the design.

    you also can use UDK or CryEngineSDK

    also i know this crazy, but Yoyogames GameMaker and Scirra Construct Classic can do some 3D games, but again you may ended up with extra effort and tweaking, the final result expected to be simple game and not strong like what unity3D or other 3d engines can offer you in this field, the 3D.

  • Please folks, don't flame me, i know this is very very early question regarding Construct 3, it might even Scirra Team didn't put thought about it just yet, so afterward with r100 released and many cool stuff bundled for HTML5 (webgl, shaders, exe wrappers etc..), but what I'm trying to know in case for future release (Construct3), Ashley does it will be built with like continue over construct 2 depending on HTML5 ? or will rebuilt from scratch again but this time with different technologies ? perhaps Native OpenGL, or NaCL? or even start support 3D ?, i got those thought after i saw construct history:

    Construct 1 Classic [ Windows/DirectX ]

    Construct 2 [ HTML5 ]

    Construct 3 [ ???? ]

    I'm so happy with Construct 2, and I expect construct 3 will offer me a new technology that not HTML5, something more interesting, powerful, a new experiences   <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
