    hi, i have experienced the same, and to solve i have moved music files into sound folder, seems that sounds dont'need triggered by touch.

  • Hi NN81, thank for responsive, here is my point:

    In the eventsheet, I group some event and name it "Control" but I dont want Group that anymore, how can I ungroup that?

    the manual tell:

    "Events can be dragged and dropped in to and out of groups (be sure to drag from the event margin, and not from a condition or action). Entire groups can also be enabled or disabled with the Set Group Active system action, which is useful for situations like pausing the game."

    but once identified the problem is always instructive to deepen a bit

  • It's more a musical term, meaning an "interpretation", i.e. performance ; applied to other disciplines, the concept means the "translation" of a vision into a realisation and material. Here, it's about conveying the artistic vision into the game, and preference towards pixel sprites or 3d models is not really relevant, as one or the other, or both, could be more suitable for certain types of projects.

  • I'm currently working on a platformer. and I have an issue with a moving platform.

    the idea is as following. the moving platform moves from left to right using the platformer behaviour. When the player jumps on it or moves on the platform it seems to teleport the player a 100 pixels or something to the opposite direction the platform was moving.

    Both use the plaform behaviour and both collision boxes are completely square. There is an on collision check but it has no events tied to it so far.

    anyone any idea how this happens?

    for moving platforms i suggest you to use "Sine" Behavior instead of platform behavior.

    I exported without touching anything, so all three options (Window Frame, Rezisable Window, Kiosk Mode) were indeed enabled.

    I've tried to disable Kiosk Mode, and now the game doesn't open in FullScreen anymore but in Windowed. The FullScreen toggle then works just fine and there is no more crash. So this solves the problem ! Nice !

    One last thing : can you explain what the Kiosk Mode is supposed to do ? Am I losing something by not enabling it in my project ?

    i think the answear is same spoked in the manual:

    Kiosk mode: use a "kiosk" display mode, where the app runs in fullscreen and tries to prevent the user from leaving.

    i think that with your windowed/fullscreen choice events, this cause the issue

  • On my game, Endless Racer, the sound is not working on mobile. If you try on a computer, it will work great,but on mobile,there is no sound,even if the volume is high.Is there a way to fix that?

    hi, just quickly tryed your game: on my Huawey-Y560 with android 5+, in default android browser the audio work fine, in chrome app-browser It seemed to me that sometimes randomly it did not leave, others did..

    about your questions

    • to ungroup you mean leave an object from a Family?
    • from bullet disappear you can apply Fade behavior to your bullet objects, with Active at start option set to YES, fade in time to 0, for "wait time" you have to test due to your bullet speed and window game size, then a little value into fade out time, and at last, the selfdestroy on fade out enabled
  • i would like to know how to to destroy objects by swiping in the four directions in construct 2. i tried to do it but for some reason it is not working. need help

    on key pressed condition -> destroy object X action

  • hi i have tried your capx, and if i understand your problem, just try to export with "window frame" option enabled, instead of "kiosk mode"

  • They don't belong to different ages ; it's like saying "paintings" are obsolete because of "sculptures".

    Without context, there's no rational way to prefer one over the other : it's not about technique, it's about art direction and "rendition".

  • Hi guys I have a few lines of code where when my player dies it spawns an object where he dies. But It spawns it 2 or 3 times instead of once. I have tried using trigger once etc but I just cant fix it please help!

    it's hard help to you without any idea how you program the mechanic, take some screnneshots of eventsheet or better upload a sample .capx that reproduce the problem
