  • No, the above crash was with the new beta build.

  • Update: I loaded and ran an example that came with C2, then when loading and rerunning mine the screen size was back to normal.

  • There is no help file as yet, most of the links will produce a '404' error page.

  • Still crashing. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Construct 2 Check failure

    ---------------------------

Check failure! This is probably a bug:

Cannot find file on disk to return over HTTP

    Condition: FileExists(disk_path)

    File: HttpFileServer.cpp

    Line: 277

    Function: void __thiscall HttpFileServer::ServerRespond(struct _HTTP_REQUEST_V2 *)

    Build: release 64 (32-bit) checked

    Component: HTML5 exporter

    (Last Win32 error: 3)

You are using a 'checked' release of Construct 2, intended for testing, which causes certain errors to be reported this way. Hit Ctrl+C to copy this messagebox - it's useful information for the developers, so please include it with any bug reports! Click 'Abort' to quit (unsaved data will be lost!),'Retry' to turn off messages for this session and continue, or 'Ignore' to continue normally.

  • You forgot to add '.exe' to the end of the filename.

  • Scratch my earlier post, now i am having sporadic crashing when previewing, I'll add the error info if it happens again.

  • Hi Ashley,

I'm having a little trouble on a game I'm developing based on the old Spectrum game

. The trouble I'm having is that the game is in full screen even though i have Fullscreen in browser set to No, also I'm now getting sporadic crashing others are getting when previewing.

I've sent you the link to the .capx as it's still wip. :)

    Here's the playable demo: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2485349/JetPac/index.html

    UP Arrow = Thrust

    Left Arrow = Left

    Right Arrow = Right

Edit: Odd, when posted to the web the game is as it should be, but when previewing it through C2 it switches to full screen.

  • I too come from Game Maker Vinians but it was C2's behaviours that drew me in, I can easily do things (like physics) in C2 which I would have no chance doing in GM. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Looking through different threads and posts there are a lot of good examples created by forum members in response to certain things. I just wondered if it might be an idea to create an examples sub forum (possibly under Your Creations) where all user made examples could be housed? That way there is a single place people can look for examples if they're having trouble.

    Just a though. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • That looks like a great game, very atmospheric. <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I know about the car behaviour which works great for top-down cars but does anyone have a tutorial on making an isometric car turn?

There are 32 frames for each vehicle and I'd like the right frame to show for that particular direction.
