    Thanks for the laughs...

  • I have never had any problems with the existing spritefont plugin. It's also important to note that most font's have licences that restrict you from re-distributing them.

With the existing spritefont plugin you can easily have multiple languages because any character in any order can have it's own image made by you. You just set in what order each character will be read.

"Steroids is fully compatible with your existing PhoneGap projects."

    So PhoneGap on steroids...

Has anyone done any tests with this yet to see how well it performs?

  • I have never had any problems with sprite font. Works perfectly with cocoonjs on different devices. I haven't tested r133 yet. I'm still surprised that Construct2 doesn't have official spritefont plugin because it's the only way for serious projects.

  • Yes I keep clicking it... Do it once, you're just a human. Do it twice, you learned something and will never do it again. Do it more than that and there's something wrong in your head. Just some words from my old teacher...

  • I don't think Clay.io plugin helps farsmile90 in this. He needs someone to write a custom plugin for him to use his publisher API.

  • I found this javascript version. https://github.com/Everyplay/everyplay-js

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Does anyone know good way to include everyplay into my games?

    https://developers.everyplay.com/

For anyone who's not familiar with everyplay, It's a website that let's you share replay videos recorded from your games by using their own API.

It's a great tool to promote games by showing lot of people some actual gameplay footage and how much fun the player had playing it.

There's something very special with your work. With your drawings It's really easy to read their emotions. They don't have perfect proportions or anatomy, but there's something that most artists can't create. Your single character is worth 5 GDD pages. It would be really easy for the other artists to create assets and backgrounds based on your work.

  • I agree with Arima, IGF is kind of huge and well known. How about Independent Game Developer Foundation or Indie Game Devs Foundation.

  • ludei

Great to hear. I will take a look when it gets released.

Are you paying something for Ludei? I think you are missing the point. My problem with the splash screen for example is not to give credit for CocoonJS for running my games and making things work, but it's their splash screen that is just poor design and screams out for the user "virus, don't trust this app". I don't like when all the QA reports are full of complains about the splash screen that has nothing to do with the actual game. I don't have any problems paying if I don't need to use that ugly splash screen.

  • I maybe presented my problem in a wrong way. My character "Walks" on a platform moving with steady speed and suddently takes huge teleporting leaps to random locations on to some other platforms. This happens only with the platform movement behavior. Everything's ok with the bullet behavior. I tested your capx but i didn't really understand if you were after a pixel perfect collision or what exactly was the issue? If you meant that your player object teleports from one stair to another, then that's what my problem is.

  • Nice to see things finally going forward with CocoonJS. I would like to try the webGL stuff and see if it improves my games speed. Right now I have decided not to use CocoonJS because of the hiatus with the unknown price plans and the ugly splash screen that we are forced to have. I'm now going to focus on Ejecta because it supports WebGL and has lot of functionalities in it. I'm also interested to bring my games to the Windows8 platform. I will keep my eyes on CocoonJS for the possible future uses.

  • Sounds like this is exactly the same problem as I have. If the framerate is low my character jumps through the walls.
