  • Sorry men i follow a recent subject speaking about appmobi/ios and there is some things i don't understand as i'm a novice in appMobi export and use.

    Export C2 project to appMobi (XDK) .... ok if using "Browser" mode ... using direct canvas and it's always black screen with all projects i have tested ... ok it's experimental but i never see something working even a simple project ! is this feature broken in last C2 releases ?

    AppMobi => Testing in local mode ... ok good result using iphone "App lab" (from appMobi)... my test project scale perfectly to iphone screen covering fullscreen (except battery/time bar) so the result is perhaps even "better" than the HTML5 C2 export.

    AppMobi => export to distributed webapp + dropbox publishing ... here i'm really confused ... some are speaking about launching "App lab" but as it's a distributed project seems it's created to be launched via common "index.html" url in safari/iphone ? ...

    The result is not good, project scale to screen but "a black bar" appear below the battery/time bar cutting the bottom part of the screen !

    So i think i miss something ... if someone can give me some tips it's really help me.

  • Well, it's not really a direct C2 post but as the future of C2 on mobile seems more and more link to "cocoonjs" i think this subject can be publish here.

    I have no doubt than cocoonjs have a future on Android mobile ... but on ios ... seems the cocoonjs launcher is waiting for Apple approuval to go on appstore since several weeks now and the only "answer" to install actually cocoonjs on ios is to "simply" buy an mac ! ;-p ... sure i will do this to build my free ios app !!!

    Well this story remind me the forgotten MobiUs appMobi browser (remove from appstore without more explanation) ... the most strange perhaps is the awkward silence of forums about this story ($/?/? ?) ;-) ...

    I simply hope that cocoonjs don't follow the same way ... but perhaps it's time to have a real answer about this subject ...

  • Seems perfect ... it give just enough details about the game ... ok it's a kart race with yeti ... if you have to repeat this name 10 times speaking about it you can always use a very short project alias name such as "YKR".

  • Thanks for this new release, there is now fewer and fewer really important features missing in the plugin.

    The proximity sensor is one of this feature, the build in sensor in coppercube is bugged but seems there is a way to create a custom function working. This function is important to bring life to 3D scene, make ghouls attacking or traps open under player feet !.

    A way to move a object using a ray as path could be fun too to give better shooting effect ... perhaps it's possible now, i don't try.

  • Hasuak i like your game concept ! ... I have another game concept ... a multiplayer game ... you are on a forum the objective is to make quick and dirty posts not loosing too much time and make other player react and loosing time. The best tactic is to create some posts requesting for help or ideas and never look at answers ... everyone can find is own tactics but is better asking others explaining there own for scoring ! ...

  • Really ? ... i test the full scirra arcade version (with no leaderboard ext. plugin) and i notice no bugs as you describe ! ... the link provide in forum with leaderboard seems to be a little example only for testing leaderboard feature as so perhaps with big bugs ... i let dysotek ask you more ! ;-p

    Perhaps are you using "IE" ?

    (Add) seems that the "PC/MAC" link given in first post is a full version with leaderboard ;-p

  • Seems that The Fullscreen mode "by code" (browser object) is only supported by firefox and Chrome actually ... user pressing "F11" works in all cases. This actual limit have been explain by scirra guys when this feature was added in C2 it's not a bug.

  • Perhaps a html5 "gears" (i didn't find it in html5 but exists in shockwave version) ... sure it could be great and you could use C2 logo as "gear" for advertising ;-p

    A turning gear is displayed sometimes for a "working brain" ;-p => good concept !, but perhaps for you : mind = memory game which is quite different.

  • Stupid i am ... i have don't seen your fullscreen version link !

    But in fact it's worse ... probably because you use a bug C2 version to do it ... so retina mode display black screen ... seems C2 R92 is the best for mobile or even perhaps before the stable R90 ... R93 is too buggy.

    Just another thing the hosting server you use "http://www.littlestain.com" don't recognize the appcache mime type as "appcache" but "text-plain" ... so seems users can have some problems downloading new update but i'm not an expert ! ... i just know that "dropbox" that i use don't have this problem !

    For the text you will probably display only one character speaking at a time as "1112" ... so bigger text and no touch accuracy problem ;-p

  • Ok seems better, i can now play until i see a arrow going to "LAS VEGAS !" ... probably the next part is still to make ?! ... but i have always a problem with window mode use and my iphone ... no need the "Construct 2/Scirra advertising text" (future "Credits" screen is for that !)... why not trying the "scale" mode to have a autofit behaviour ? if this game is not in retina display + fullscreen mode, make real text choice for questions or answers is more done by a lucky "touch" ! (too little text on screen). In a future build some zooming feature will be good too to give some action like "movie" effect (specially when a special action is done and then unzoom when "next" event stop this action) ... so probably one layer on top for buttons (with no zooming) and layer on bottom for 2D scenes (with zooming). I think you have already done this 2 layers choice perhaps even more ! ;-p

    About zooming effect you can see a example of little zooming effect in my project below (see my signature Compan360)... but for mobile or safari browser i make the choice to forget progressive zooming effect which make great fps drop ... so a simple zoom could be great waiting cocoonjs provide a huge fps boost to C2 games on mobile using native iOS/Android features.

    • In Firefox and Safari the scuba head stay on screen after clicking unless changing window size ...
    • In Safari the "old" text stay on screen unless changing window size ...

    Clear Background at "Yes" or "No" change nothing.

    Firefox 12, 13 now and 16.0a1 (same bug all)

    On Safari iOS 5.1.1 same bug as on pc + changing orientation make all display disappeared sometimes ...

  • ... export problem seems to be link to R93 ! ... in fact in R93 3 things are important before exporting a copperlicht C2 project :

    1?) "Clear background = yes" ... seems now really needed to avoid great graphical problem with copperlicht display (problems appeared after export or are bigger after export than in preview mode depending on browsers use !).

    2?) Don't use "Use loader layout" so it must stay to "No" !

    (others values make copperlicht 3D part don't working after export)

    3?) Unchecked minifying scripts (minifying script make copperlicht 3D part don't working after export)

    delgado, you can find HERE the result of the juantar test room rebuild in R92.

    And HERE the project file of the juantar test room rebuild in R92 with changes to make it works in preview mode (R92 or R93 needed).

    I keep all this R92 data safe in a read only mode in case of future problems ;-p

    (My exported project now works again in R93 using this tips ...)

  • Not sure who can do something about R93 problem if so.

    Perhaps something missing now in generated "index.html" about copperlicht.js references or a canvas def incompatibility. The best seems to revert to R92, testing if all is working again, save the work and look at differences in generated files with the unworking R93 version ... but as i don't understand why my unworking project in R92 begins to work ... "no minifying" when exporting was important but seems not enough.
