  • srealist, for this problem of spin ... moving slowly in stairs make you block 50% of time and go into a spin .. sometimes going in "corners" too ... Flying/Jumping stay the better way to move up until i find a answer but seems some automatic features avoiding block are disabled when using a full C2 motion control.

    I don't work on the lights, it's a tutorial example with pre computed lights so there is some lights/shadows errors now (the new door). it's possible to have something more interactive with lights/shadows but i have a very poor 3D experience and i'm not sure the actual plugin release can managed dynamic lights very well.

    Copperlicht/Coppercube are like C2, in progress but with some bugs and unworking features in some cases ... so with time it will be better ! .... a quick example ... the build in proximity sensor is bug ... i wanted to have the door open if player is near and close if far ... the only way to do that now is to create a custom function and Juantar can't create a C2 function for each copperlicht feature, make his plugin a monster ! .... so some clever priority choice must be done and actually i just make the door move left and right waiting for a debug sensor feature.

    Smart to have people like you giving feedbacks ... some are good news others are bugs but be sure i like people giving time to tests our creations !

    Just a question (@srealist) have you copperlicht or coppercube install on your computer ?

    I just try to understand why other guys with webgl browsers have problems .... so perhaps i just change something in the last release which make things works ... the most important is that it works for someone ... after if it works for everyone it's much better ! ;-p

  • Works better for me !, suggested you perhaps to change the process ... selecting area before (special effect on this area) and then choosing the color ... i have accuracing problem on a desktop pc so i can't imagine this app on mobile with "touch" unless providing a zoom feature. There is no undo process so when filling a area with the same color than another "nearest" area the 2 becomes one and it's the end ... perhaps it's the needed effect ?

    Other thing really avoid spaces in folders and names using dropbox ... put some com plugins searching to identified the source to don't work. Sure it's not your actual problems but ...

    Yes, it's true about lights ... it's why i suggest you to give walls a kind of transparency effect ... this doesn't affect gameplay at all. But it's not really important .. it's just to avoid stupid questions ask by stupid men like me ! ;-p

  • Humm i really a novice but try add a update screen for browser where it doesn't seems to work (firefox have sometimes redraw bugs) and perhaps some tests with no webgl renderer ?

    CHROME 19 ... flood work ... no real cpu/gpu activity increase but app crash (canvas plugin) after 10-20 flood.

  • Another thing just for you about dropbox ... avoid spaces in names and folders ... if using some plugins (playtomic leaderboard C2 plugin for example) it could prevent you to use some features.

  • A very fun game .. finish it and want more !!

    Suggestions : less "pixel" effect on objects and specially lights, area to display owned items... a question why lights go thru walls ? .. if walls have not 100% opacity it will be more "logical" captain ! ;-p. Perhaps something to think about "bounce" and ball ... secret passage and moving walls could be fun too.

    I've found the difficulty progress very well done and the game too ;-p ... keep working it's good !

  • (add) I think you have understand the goal is to go from a C2 creation to another C2 creation ... the game IS and STAY in scirra arcade .. the external part is only for external leaderboard plugin access after playing. So i think this access quite acceptable if, as some sound limit in several browsers, this access is provide using a user trigger object such as "button".

    I'm sure it's possible to alert scirra arcade user that a new page will open with a external link and let him free to choose want he want do to ?

  • I come again with a important question about "external" and scirra arcade.

    If i put a part of my game on dropbox with external plugins ... and find a way to call it from my main game in scirra arcade (open url in a new page and give it some parameters such as player score) ...

    1?/ Does is work ? (have someone try to do that and how ?)

    2?/ What is scirra opinion (@Ashley) about that ?

    As you see i try to stay clean with your scirra arcade process but i'm sure not to be alone to find these limits more and more difficult to accept ... arcade could become a desert land if no answer is found so seems to be a quite important question for us and for scirra.

  • No more grey text but blue text with the new version of the demo post this afternoon ... don't forget to refresh your page empty cache etc ...

    Test on dropbox with my vista pc + FF12/FF15beta/Chrome 19.0.1084.52 m ... all seems to work so seems to be a real mistake ! perhaps a firewall blocking problem or a laggy server ... 3D scene is loaded using the last "files" C2 R92 feature so it's almost like url loading files.

  • A new release for my copperlicht demo will be update in 10 minutes (same link as before) ... it's using some cool new features add by Juantar in his last copperlicht plugin version (2 june).

    Changes :

    ++ Now a green cube is created on the target area ... notice the effect when on and thru the grid of the new moving door. Good news for future shooting features !

    + Coppercube managed now the gravity

    ++ Add a Crouch/JUMP mode ... try JUMP it's fun ;-p

    + Alter speed move depending on movement type and add walking effect.

    ~ Always some engine "native" collision bugs sometimes specially in stairs, unwanted bounces against ceiling too ... difficult to find a 100% bug free setting ;-(

    (@juantar) ;-p : i have used only the new features that i could make work !) collision responder make engine crash !

  • I think such as Bolosaur you need fresh ideas ... adapt a system to a concept and not use classic rpg ones again and again.

    An example : making a aquatic rpg ... in classic rpg you die if staying too long in water but here this is reverse ..., all characters and creatures all live in water, so going to surface = dying ... it's just a idea like another to show the "concept" importance ...

    Not really large, it can make some time to load sometimes but with last chrome or last firefox, users should not have problems using webgl and so this demo.

    The only problem i found is a Iphone4 last iOS webgl enabled Iphone which doesn't load the webgl part of this demo.

    Verify please if your "webgl feature is enabled" in chrome using the following syntax in adress bar

    chrome://flags/

    and test webgl using this link -> tutorial 6 - copperlicht, i use the same example in my demo.

    I use a standard free cam with no control in coppercube (all is C2 control) but the cam is embelled in a CubeMesh with "collide when moved" behaviour .... after 50 attempts it works ! ... i will give you a link to my coppercube project (in PM) for better understanding.

    Yes ! good news we really need a collision responder too ! ... also something to move/throws objects such as the cube in tutorial 6 (my example) of copperlicht sdk if possible !

    I also try to adapt your plugin to ie using ie_webgl/copperlicht_iewegl.js but no success this time .. i'm probably too novice !

    I use the wonderfull C2 plugin from Juantar to make this little 3D demo.

    You need a compatible webgl browser (firefox,chrome ...) ... also a keyboard and a mouse with wheel ... support "WASD" (qwerty) and ZQSD (azerty) keyboard settings.
