  • Congratulations

I look forward to seeing your work in Starcraft 2.

  • Say what?

Anyway, Davo updated the Window plugin for next release, so scratch this thread

  • Yeah, we need to push a newer stable release, most people don't seem to notice or trust the 0.99.85

  • Too lazy to hassle with the tracker, so here it is...

When maximized, Window object stays maximized unless minimized, even when you set the window size. It just thinks it is maximized, so you can't re-maximize it or something.

It is missing the "restore window" feature that would restore the window to non-maximized, that is windowed state.

  • 60 FPS

    Athlon II X2, 9500 GT, Windows 7

  • 1024x768 unlimited FPS, canvas over entire screen

Canvas: 470 FPS, takes 7mb VRAM

    No canvas: 710 FPS

Athlon II X2, GeForce 9500 GT

  • Easiest way would be:

    variable = 1 - variable

    With variable being either 0 or 1, it will always toggle (1 - 0 = 1, 1 - 1 = 0)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Yeah, I know, the Wiki isn't so obvious

  • Backups are a must.

  • Not recommended for software that gets updated often. You'd get torrents with old version of Construct floating around.

  • What, are we getting 3D sudoku soon?

Yeah, yeah, back on topic, I mention Construct to people who talk about making games. I probably should make an awesome showcase game sometime, but I've got a job now and I can hardly find any time at all for Construct. My other projects have a priority

  • Heresy! The BEST Prince of Persia was in 2D! Tell your friends they're rubbish if they consider themselves Prince of Persia fans but shun 2D

  • Even if Dropbox is taken down, the files are still available locally on the guy's PC, so he can reupload elsewhere. Problem with broken hosts is the originals are probably goners as well.

I don't see Dropbox closing its gates any soon, though. Oh, and you get 2 GB space, which is more than enough, and you just have to save files locally then grab the public link to post.

By the way, you can get 250 MB for each referral, too... here's mine (shameless plug, sue me):

Moreover, Dropbox also features shared folders, which are great for team projects.

  • Oh, no, no, don't apologize, it is all right if you wanted to share it, I just voiced my opinion. If this tool actually makes porting 3D models to 2D sprites an easy task, well, all the more power to it.

  • Well, picture this... You need to provide a 3D model by yourself before you can make 2D sprites of it. You can already do that with the 3D modeling/animation tool.

I don't see how is it worth the price tag. This tool won't make awesome sprites with touch of a button, you still have to invest a lot of effort and time into the 3D models and this tool just steals the thunder by taking 2D snapshots of various poses then exporting them.
